<GregroxMun> o/
<Sigma88> GregroxMun: I can ping you here if you prefere
<Sigma88> When I have something to tell you
<GregroxMun> i like the irc better than the discord
<GregroxMun> maybe it's just because I don't really like change
ferram4 has joined #Kopernicus
<Sigma88> Or not...
<GregroxMun> Sigma, have you seen this: https://twitter.com/GregroxMun/status/917870964330950656
<GregroxMun> all procedural
<GregroxMun> also I called the stock sun Kerbol by mistake
<Sigma88> hmmm
<Sigma88> this is weird
<Sigma88> Thomas I don't get the backlog anymore on irc
<Sigma88> GregroxMun I only saw your messages now because I looked at the logs
<Sigma88> also, Kerbol?
<Sigma88> >_>
<Sigma88> ???
<GregroxMun> I also lied by saying Kaywell was near the sun instead of it being the sun
<Sigma88> :)
<Sigma88> GregroxMun what are your thoughts on discovery?
<GregroxMun> Only seen first to episodes so far
<GregroxMun> I just got the next few episodes but haven't watched them
<GregroxMun> so far and from what I've seen I dislike it a lot
<GregroxMun> But ill still give it a chance
<Sigma88> I was uninpressed by the two-parter premiere
<GregroxMun> even if I end up wanting to kill everyone on the production team it's Star Trek canon and I have to watch it
<Sigma88> the third episode was ok
<Sigma88> after the fourth episode I'm not sure I will watch the fifth
<Sigma88> I'm completely fed up with it
<GregroxMun> :/
<Sigma88> it doesn't help that the orville is awesome
<Sigma88> I can't stand the klingons
<GregroxMun> that's one of the biggest visual flaws in the show
<GregroxMun> complete retconning of Klingon technology and appearance
<Sigma88> it's not even the visuals I'm bothered
<Sigma88> SUBTITLES
<Sigma88> come on
<GregroxMun> I'm very thoroughly unimpressed with the show's visuals.
<Sigma88> yeah but that wouldn't have killed it alone
<Sigma88> not episodic + subtitles + edgelord/emo atmosphere is what killed it for me
<GregroxMun> I don't understand how it could be that big of a disaster
<GregroxMun> Haumea may have a ring
<Sigma88> cool
<GregroxMun> width 70km, radius 2287km, opacity of 0.5. Close to 3:1 resonance with Haumea's spin period
<GregroxMun> uh oh? " Combined with rotational light curves, the occultation constrains the three-dimensional orientation of Haumea and its triaxial shape, which is inconsistent with a homogeneous body in hydrostatic equilibrium."
<GregroxMun> Does this mean Haumea isn't a dwarf planet or does it mean that Haumea is probably not homogenous?
<GregroxMun> We need to send a spacecraft there to find out, obviously
<GregroxMun> It frustrates me that there may never be a mission to Haumea in my lifetime.
<Sigma88> hahaha teenager picard
<GregroxMun> oh that's a fun one
<Sigma88> also, dear lord Gynen is old
<GregroxMun> Guinan actually
<GregroxMun> Constellations test in astronomy tonight
<GregroxMun> It's mostly/partly cloudy, so I hope the teacher doesn't make us do the observational portion of the test.
<Sigma88> test at night?
<Sigma88> can you skip day hours of school if you go at night?
<GregroxMun> its an observational astronomy class
<GregroxMun> it's a night class
<GregroxMun> I mean if I didn't take this class I'd have a different class and that would be during the day, so I guess
<GregroxMun> it's not high school, it's college
<GregroxMun> community college at that
egg|afk|egg is now known as egg|zzz|egg
<Sigma88> cool
<UmbralRaptor> Do you get to play around with image analysis?
<GregroxMun> nope
<GregroxMun> i get to play with a massive telescope though
<GregroxMun> 24-inch

<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] StollD pushed 1 new commit to master: https://git.io/vdKIl
<Kopernicus> Kopernicus/master 26a2a2b Dorian Stoll: Track vessel orbits using a custom identifier...
<Qboid> Starting build #162 for job Kopernicus-Dev (previous build: SUCCESS)
<Qboid> Project Kopernicus-Dev build #162: SUCCESS in 24 sec: https://jenkins.tmsp.io/job/Kopernicus-Dev/162/
<Qboid> Dorian Stoll: Track vessel orbits using a custom identifier
<Poodmund> Thomas I know you use Jenkins for Kopernicus and I thought I'd come here as its a more sane place to ask. With Jenkins, can it automatically build the distribution package (.zip) from the GitRepo then create a Release for it using the remote distribution build? Basically my upload rate is terrible and was wondering if there was a way to bypass the
<Poodmund> release distribution upload process?
<Qboid> Poodmund: politas left a message for you in #ckan [23.09.2017 07:17:55]: "A new NetKAN submission is the best way. It will overwrite the CKAN-meta"
<Sigma88> Poodmund yes
<Sigma88> thomas can release kopernicus from his phone
<Sigma88> ?
<Poodmund> Hmmm seems like I have something to do then.
<Poodmund> Thanks for the heads up.
<Sigma88> well
<Sigma88> actually
<Sigma88> I'm not sure if that's jenkins or some trickery he has on his server
<Sigma88> now that I think about it
<Poodmund> Maybe a Jenkins plugin of some sort.
<Sigma88> GregroxMun TNG ppl really sucked at biology ?
<UmbralRaptor> Hah
<UmbralRaptor> So many half-human hybrids o_O
<Sigma88> Data: <<There is a big difference between a person and a virus, but both are considered alive>>
<UmbralRaptor> (Also, did you get to the episode with the genetic material hunt?)
<Sigma88> UR which one? ?
<Sigma88> I've seen a number of those
<Sigma88> I'm at s6e9
<UmbralRaptor> S6 or 7 sounds right.
<Sigma88> btw, viruses are not universally considered alive :)
<Sigma88> maybe in the future they'll be
<Sigma88> actually I think they are considered not alive
<Sigma88> yup 5 kingdoms, Animals, Plants, Fungi, Archea and Bacteria... no viruses
<UmbralRaptor> S6x20
<UmbralRaptor> Yeah, mostly not alive.
<Sigma88> ohhhh
<Sigma88> Kinsey is in TNG!!!!!
<Sigma88> lol
