Still having trouble. I have decided to clean-slate install KSP 1.2.2 with RSS RO RP-0, but I want to save my games, screenshots, CKAN itself, and CKAN download history. What do I save in my "bomb shelter" and what do I trash?

Specifically, my three questions are: Keep the GameData or just the Squad folder? Keep the entire CKAN folder or just the downloads? Keep the CKAN executable or leave it? What's more, should I actively delete those files or leave it to the ravages of the reinstallation process? I am a dunderhead.

To do a clean install you’ll certainly need to nuke everything *but* what you’re saving explicitly

Ok. So, active deletion, then? The entire reason why I waited so long to upgrade was because I wasn't sure whether I should have actively deleted my mod/CKAN files or not for the upgrade. I eventually decided not do do so, but that left me here.

If you’re doing a clean install, it has to be clean. Like, in a new folder clean. ;)

Note howver that RP-0 has had its contracts changed enough that 1.1.x saves may not be compatible, and we’re *very* close to releasing a massive overhaul that will be entirely savebreaking.

I wanted to upgrade before absolute savebreak as I have many bootlegged real and fictional launch vehicles on one of my saves, like a copy of the Saturn V made with procedural parts, and a Delta IV that's actually a Delta, with an E-1 Advanced 1st stage and a Transtage-like 2nd stage.
