It’s 30 for the glasses, 43 for the small binocs, 87 for the large and 96 for the telescope.

I don’t spend a lot of my time staring at the sun. Soooo lol
<X>
I’m somewhat regretting not spending more time paying attention in optics.
<raptop>
X: I don't know that much about those, they're probably okay. But ideally you'd want something with more magnification, and Coronado PSTs are $$$$$
<raptop>
But for just watching the eclipse, it's possible that cheap disposable glasses are enough
<X>
Yeah. I think I’m going to to get the 87 dollar ones and return them. Call me horrible.
<X>
Or maybe I will be like this is the best 87 dollars I have ever spent to stare at the sun.
<raptop>
hah

I just parked my car lengthwise across some parking spaces. Got out of my car next to a busy road and took out my binoculars and looked at the sun.
<X>
I wasn’t super impressed by the image. But I also kind of looked at the sun for a second in the process of looking at the sun with the binocs.

looks like there's a decent number of spots at the moment

Sometimes I kind of imagine what it would be like if I got transported back to a place without advanced technology, but I still had my belongings. I’d love to try to explain this to the locals.

This is a pair of binoculars so you can look at the sun while on the go.
