<Sigma88> are there any mods that add new upgradeable facilities to the game?
<Sigma88> is it worth taking into account the possibility of that happening when writing a mod?
<Sigma88> or is that something nobody is doing?
<taniwha> Sigma88: I think I've heard of such a mod
<taniwha> and it's certainly worth taking the possibility into account
<Sigma88> let's see what I can come up with then :)
<Sigma88> thanks taniwha

<ve2dmn> I wonder if it's possible (via KSP-RPC or some other method) to do something similar to http://stuffin.space/

<JPLRepo> Sigma88: yes, one of my mods does.
<JPLRepo> and I had grand plans to make it part of the Barn Kit so others could add.. but sadly, have not found the time yet.
<JPLRepo> this one adds an Observatory: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/139473

<pizzaoverhead> ve2dmn: For a single player, or something that allows the entire community to add to it?
<ve2dmn> pizzaoverhead: so I could see the status of my current system in a different window
<pizzaoverhead> ve2dmn: Telemachus may have the hooks for that already
<ve2dmn> I was thinking of that actually
<ve2dmn> might be a bit more complicated because 'stuffin.space' only does 1 planet
<pizzaoverhead> One step at a time :)
<pizzaoverhead> You could end up with something less resource-hungry than Stand Alone Map View. It'd be useful for multi-monitor setups.
<pizzaoverhead> Check out KeRD too if you haven't seen it: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/114976-10x-kerd-kerbal-remote-display-that-runs-in-your-browser-july-7th/
<ve2dmn> KERD might be enough for my needs

<oren> What if we had a standalone mod that gathered basic data and uploaded it to some central server so it would be like: "There are 72 users online, with 423 kerbals. 2345 craft exist. 103 kerbals are in orbit, 45 are on varous bodies, and 6 are flying in atmospheres."
