<Iskierka>
Pinkbeast, not that it makes the size make much more sense, but apparently the dragon transports take up to 68-lb guns, so only having 150 may not be so crazy
<Pinkbeast>
Iskierka: Hm. I wonder if that's carefully thought out or not.
<Pinkbeast>
Long guns weren't made that big until ships started to use more steel structural members, because they'd fall apart otherwise; carronades were but a carronade of 2n shot weight is about as difficult to mount as a long gun of n shot weight
<Pinkbeast>
And you couldn't put an all-carronade armament on these dragon transports because for that to work you have to be faster / more maneuverable than the enemy so you can close inside their range then hose them with your doubled throw weight
<Pinkbeast>
Now AIR you said the dragon transports do have metal frames so maybe Novik carefully thought it out and they have heavier long guns because they can
<Pinkbeast>
In other news, predictably the enemies who are immune to headsploding have turned up
<Pinkbeast>
inside their range> the carronades' range, that is, not the enemy's because their minimum range is 0 just like yours
