<Iskierka>
or perhaps they allow addresses matching .*mail.* to let people check emails?
<Iskierka>
at least after a password reset
<Pinkbeast>
Iskierka: Perhaps indeed not mailinator explicitly; in fact that makes perfect sene.
<Pinkbeast>
*sense

I was resolved to struggling through with my 3G modem, which got lousy signal there.
* Iskierka
recently got fed up of lousy wifi in her room (other side of a structural wall) and set up a repeater with a 20 dBi antenna. Not hugely faster, but WAY more reliable
* Pinkbeast
still has two 15m Ethernet cables plugged into the hub, yes, hub
<Pinkbeast>
... I have an ancient insecure wireless device, but it's only turned on for the Wii (and plausible deniability re allegations of copyvio :-)
<Pinkbeast>
One Whitby holiday cottage I got into the wireless router with the default password, reconfigured it to be less useless, but balked at letting them know re the password. :-/
<Pinkbeast>
Shoulda let them know anonymously, I guess; I had plausible deniability then, too. :-)

I probably could've done better than the repeater by using ethernet and possibly two wifi switches, yes, but I only had one and no suitable amount of ethernet to traverse that path
<Iskierka>
this relay at the end of my bed works well. 100% signal to the relay, just a little slowness (but no disconnects) from relay to router
<Pinkbeast>
Tell you what, entirely pertinently, I'm vexed by how many places the "free" wireless is worse than my 3G modem
<Pinkbeast>
... I gather this is a self-perpetuating problem because people mostly use 3G because etc etc
<Iskierka>
probably a lot of places just have one normal router and not a setup designed to actually cover the whole place, which is probably larger than the house the router is designed for
<Iskierka>
the switch I'm using to relay, with 3 of the 20 dBi antennae, would probably do a LOT better
<Pinkbeast>
"Free" wireless is worse in many ways, often malicious - "give us your cellphone number so we can spam you, to use the service you consent to spam" got me recently. (Phrased in VTEC-style pabulum, just to add insult to injury)
<Iskierka>
this is also true
* Pinkbeast
wins at Crawl again, not that you care but I am as smug as a bug in a rug
* UmbralRaptor
approves of the idea of cyberpunk star wars.
<Iskierka>
... Formula E has suddenly confused me. The #1 problem with Monaco in F1 is it's just too small and tight, making it perfectly sized for FE. FE uses a different track layout

Time to play some KSP! And by play some KSP I mean fiddle with CKAN.
<kmath>
<JonRiley7> 37 of 38 economists said the GOP tax plans would grow the debt. The 38th misread the question. That’s not a joke:… https://t.co/j6X3WWlVz5
<Pinkbeast>
Only 38?
<Pinkbeast>
PS ouch, pinkbeast, you are presently not really fit enough to ride 40 miles on a clown's bike 3 days after doing it once beforehand
<UmbralRaptor>
38 was the sample size.
<Pinkbeast>
Also, I like CKAN but I'd find it easier to be an unequivocal apologist for it if it was less shonky

<allgebrah> It is morning, you step outside to commute to work. Two feral catboys scamper off, watch from a safe distance if you brought any food

UmbralRaptor: also fiora's poll
<UmbralRaptor>
Yeah

Both the classic catgirl one, and the more recent 4chan one.
