The joke is that society would collapse
<SnoopJeDi>
and this has been lovingly dubbed The Cool Zone
<SnoopJeDi>
would and/or is
<WeylandsWings>
sure but the raptor said we were in the cool zone, which that tweet says would be OVER 30%, and we arent there yet
<SnoopJeDi>
maybe they overestimated the cutoff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
<SnoopJeDi>
It's not like US society was particularly stable in the first place

* SnoopJeDi
glances at flags on wall
<WeylandsWings>
SnoopJeDi: ooooooh what flags do you have
<SnoopJeDi>
Maryland and Texas
<SnoopJeDi>
Reckon I'll have a Massachusetts flag before long, not that the MA flag is all that great
<WeylandsWings>
Maryland is too busy for my tastes, like yeah the yellow/black checks look kinda cool, but make it way too busy
<SnoopJeDi>
It used to just be the yellow/black, which is the Calvert (i.e. Lord Baltimore) crest
<SnoopJeDi>
the red/white was added during Reconstruction, a sort of gesture of mending the country I guess. Lot of stories about brothers fighting on both sides etc. in a state that would've been Confederate without a moment's doubt save for DC
<SnoopJeDi>
Baltimore uses just the Calvert bit in the city symbol though :)
<SnoopJeDi>
#flagfacts
<raptop>
DC should become a state so New Mexico's flag has actual competition
<SnoopJeDi>
New Mexico is the state that gives me whiplash the worst
<raptop>
how so?
<SnoopJeDi>
I liked it there on the few visits I took, though.
<SnoopJeDi>
