<BenjaminK> When I use ShipConstruct to get the size of a vessel, is that the diameter of the vessel if placed in a perfect sphere or something else?

<taniwha> bounding box, I think
<taniwha> used by VAB/SPH size limits, iirc
<taniwha> BenjaminK: probably the /best/ way to get the diameter of a ship is to run the Smallest Enclosing Ball algorithm over the vessel's mesh
<taniwha> (You might have to implement it yourself)
<BenjaminK> taniwha: If that returns a bounding box, I would be able to use Pythagorean theorm to get the max distance
<BenjaminK> thus creating the sphere
<BenjaminK> Thanks!
