<VITAS[m]> so
<VITAS[m]> there was an attempt to do modpacks even in KS days
<VITAS[m]> its still broken
<VITAS[m]> i would welcome something that enables collections of SD hosted mods to be posted WITHOUT reuploading those mods
<VITAS[m]> the only way is ckan files for now
<VITAS[m]> or other linklists
<VITAS[m]> i generaly only act on mod authors requests with them confirming prior efforts to resolve problems with the uploader in question
<VITAS[m]> if a valid request is made i delete or unpublish those mods

<VITAS[m]> even if the issue is minor (but still a violation of the mod authors original license)
<VITAS[m]> (eg not bundeling gpl licenses with gpl licensed mods)
<VITAS[m]> by assesing each claim individualy i dont have the problem of conflicting licenses in modpacks
<VITAS[m]> so the basis is: i accept content that might violate lawes and licenses until im asked to remove it by a valid claiment
<VITAS[m]> else we have guesswork and possible overreactions and inconsistant actions
<VITAS[m]> does that help?
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m]> yup 😉
<VITAS[m]> :)
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m]> so, its best to have the 1st be to contact a mod author, and let them make first attempt to pursue having an offending mod pulled down?

<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m]> so, its best to have the 1st step be to contact a mod author directly, and let them make first attempt to pursue having an offending mod pulled down?
<VITAS[m]> yes
<VITAS[m]> yes you can nudge him like you did
<VITAS[m]> and then he in trun makes a formal request
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m]> gotcha 😉
