raptop changed the topic of #principia to: READ THE FAQ: http://goo.gl/gMZF9H; The current version is Fréchet. We currently target 1.5.1, 1.6.1, and 1.7.x. <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly… | <egg> also 4e16 m * 2^-52 is uncomfortably large

Myshiko. — On a practical recommendations side, I tend to keep number of inflight vessels in less then 20 on 9900k. Going well over 100 is probably a bad idea.
<discord->
Myshiko. — Honestly, Principia is usually the least of my performance worries.
<discord->
Agathorn. — About time you gaming CPU people got the rub 🙂 I'll just sit over here with my 24 cores

Myshiko. — Wait for my upcoming 64 cores...

Acer_Saccharum. — the real challenge is phobos
<discord->
neph. — Also, I'm on Frenet & there seems to be an issue where the location of the vessel & the planet move away from the orbit location while time-warping

Transparent_Elemental. — @Kerbo ask about principia here
<discord->
Transparent_Elemental. — maneuvers require one upgrade for contract building and one for tracking station, then in principia's window you can create a flight plan (which is basically a predicted orbit) and increase it's length, there you should be able to find a way to create a maneuver
<discord->
lpg. — and you "disable" the pink lines by shortening prediction length, but you don't want that. more likely you need to learn about reference frames
<discord->
Transparent_Elemental. — pink lines aren't "lines", they're your predicted orbits and for each frame of reference they're different because they're relative to something, you can change your frame of reference by clicking on navbal's speed number or in principia's window
<discord->
Kerbo. — ok and how do i make a maneuver for, say making an apoapsis higher?
<discord->
Transparent_Elemental. — i guess i answered your question already ☝️
<discord->
Kerbo. — yeah i mean how do i add delta v to prograde, or set it at the tight point

Transparent_Elemental. — there are sliders in principia's maneuver editor, if you drag them they will allow you to gradually add or remove the dV in your maneuver
<discord->
Transparent_Elemental. — the more you drag it to one of the sides the greater the effect
<discord->
Transparent_Elemental. — same with the maneuver's position in orbit, there is a slider for time
