egg changed the topic of #principia to: Logs: https://esper.irclog.whitequark.org/principia | <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly…
<queqiao->
⟨clayel⟩ is there an easy way to tell the version of principia you have? cant find any "about" txt files
<queqiao->
⟨egg⟩ The one from March 9th, I presume?
<queqiao->
⟨clayel⟩ yes
<queqiao->
⟨clayel⟩ but
<queqiao->
⟨clayel⟩ still
<queqiao->
⟨egg⟩ Allow me to introduce you to the space bar, an alternative to the enter key which is less likely to attract the wrath of the blue ones.
<queqiao->
⟨clayel⟩ i understand that you can find it by cross-referencing the github, but surely it wouldnt be too difficult to add a small readme? (could also contain the changelogs of that recent update)
<queqiao->
trying not to ask too much
<queqiao->
⟨egg⟩ Adding things to the release process which we have to do every month quickly falls into the « too much » category, especially if they are a solution looking for a problem. If you have files that are more than a month old, you have an old version. If you start the game, you see which version you have, and it will tell you if you have an old version.
<queqiao->
⟨clayel⟩ oh, about that, is it meant to display the latest update if you havent updated in awhile? it seems like it isnt
<queqiao->
⟨egg⟩ No, it only tells you about the version following the one you have. But when you go to download it, you will find the latest one anyway.
