<DasSkelett[m]>
Way too hot 🔥
<VITAS[m]>
no rendering fro me today :P
<DasSkelett[m]>
What did you plan to render?
<VITAS[m]>
im playing with blender
<DasSkelett[m]>
Neat
<VITAS[m]>
trying to learn it
<VITAS[m]>
i used 3dsmax since 1.something and blender is an alternative now
<VITAS[m]>
but learning such a complex software... :/
<DasSkelett[m]>
Yeah every once in a while I re-do these donuts, cups and vases guides, but I loose track again after a few days since I don't really have a use for it.
<VITAS[m]>
i would say i know 90% of 3dsmax
<VITAS[m]>
took me years
<VITAS[m]>
thats what keeps me away from another 3d software
<VITAS[m]>
no matter how good it is
<VITAS[m]>
(and 3ds max isnt bad only not open source and free)
<DasSkelett[m]>
I have really no idea why the icons are gone. Can't find any commit changing something related. There's only this one that repairs the bootstrap.min.css, but I can't see any change directly connected to the icons...

<VITAS[m]>
glyphicon glyphicon-copyright-mark font is missing
<VITAS[m]>
its trying to render the icon with the default text font
<VITAS[m]>
so check if the icon font css is included
<VITAS[m]>
no that isnt it either
<VITAS[m]>
the frontend is so fucked up :(
<VITAS[m]>
timeline-icon css class has color blue
<VITAS[m]>
that overwrites the font color white
<VITAS[m]>
so they arew there but invisible
<VITAS[m]>
its commented out on prod
<VITAS[m]>
(in css)
<VITAS[m]>
bootstrap-theme.css line 862
<DasSkelett[m]>
Ha! Indeed! So it has been the commit I though it was.
<DasSkelett[m]>
Now we have to fix that without directly manipulating `bootstrap-theme.css` again
<DasSkelett[m]>
Thanks for finding that one.
<VITAS[m]>
if you want to twist our brains even more : style property
<VITAS[m]>
stlye overwrites css unless its flaged as important

<span class="d-mention d-user">VITAS</span> idk if it would help with the learning curve of Blender, having to learn all the keymapping, but you could look @ BforArtists as an alternative to Blender vOv
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m>
it *is* Blender, just with an icon/menu/mouse-clik based UI/UX

<VITAS[m]>
thx. im trying to learn generic blender. It helps that i know what im looking for and just have to find out how and where its done.
<VITAS[m]>
knowing all the shortcuts and insictivly using them is what drives me mad in blander as well as gimp
<VITAS[m]>
photoshop and 3ds max ones are so engraved in my brain
<DasSkelett[m]>
That `bootstrap-theme.css` is so broken it's amazing that it works at all.
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m>
yeah... BFA makes the shortcuts moar accessable using icons/menus...easier to find
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m>
also, any Blender tutes, are still accurate...
<KineticSloth8StoneBlue[m>
BFA includes a Blender preset you select in User Preferences, for keymapping... so any keymap shortcuts you see in a Blender tute, still apply in BFA 🙂

is there are way to get the bh mod to work with the latest ksp update?
<Tirpitz[m]>
or a downgrade of ksp
VITAS[m] has joined #spacedock
<VITAS[m]>
if there isnt a newer ver its not certified by the author to wrok with anything newer

Beyond Home needs Kopernicus, which isn't there yet for 1.10. So yes, downgrading KSP (to 1.8.1) would be needed. If you got KSP via Steam it should be very easy to do. <span class="d-mention d-user">Tirpitz</span>
<Tirpitz[m]>
black hole mod sorry
<VITAS[m]>
BH=bra?
<VITAS[m]>
:P
<DasSkelett[m]>
Oh well, damn these abbreviations
<Tirpitz[m]>
lol
<VITAS[m]>
avery 1-3 char one is taken multiple times anyways
<VITAS[m]>
< found his prefered mixing speed for DJing: 133.7 bpm
<DasSkelett[m]>
Ooooh that's waaaaay outdated.
<Tirpitz[m]>
yeah
<DasSkelett[m]>
Still needs Kopernicus, so that's a no for 1.10. And apart from that it's very unlikely that it would work anyways, regardless of Kopernicus or not. KSP 1.2 has been a long time ago.
<Tirpitz[m]>
anyway to make it work?
<Tirpitz[m]>
can i downgrade to 1.2? or is there another bh mod like that one
<VITAS[m]>
im amazed about what DasSkelett knows about mod releases
<DasSkelett[m]>
It kinda comes automatically when you spend a lot of your time developing either for SpaceDock or CKAN, or giving some modding support for other players ^^
<Tirpitz[m]>
so is there a up to date black hole mod?
<Tirpitz[m]>
im dumb so i cant find any
<DasSkelett[m]>
Don't think you can go back as far as KSP 1.2 in Steam unfortunately. Getting Kargantua to work is also very unlikely.
<DasSkelett[m]>
So yeah another mod is your best bet, although I don't know of one with a black hole as center body. Singularity only adds a visual effect.
<Tirpitz[m]>
aww
<Tirpitz[m]>
okey
<Tirpitz[m]>
welp thats a waste of my time then
<DasSkelett[m]>
You can try searching the forum, maybe there's one hidden somewhere.
<DasSkelett[m]>
Well this one definitely looks promising: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/187126-17x-eventhorizon-v10-a-blackhole-system-inspired-by-the-movie-interstellar-with-functional-wormholes/&tab=comments#comment-3649245
<DasSkelett[m]>
Also yeah regarding abbreviations, yesterday I learned that while a lot of people use "PR" for "Pull Request" in the open source community, FreeBSD insists of using "PR" for "Problem Report", i.e. bug report. Welp :/

Yes, Nyan Cats _are_ Kopernicus' way of showing you got the wrong KSP<->Kopernicus version combination. The last release of the "old original" Kopernicus was for KSP 1.8.1. There's a fork called Kopernicus Continued in the works, which has a semi-stable release for KSP 1.9.1, and a (potentially) very unstable one for KSP 1.10.1.
