<Iskierka>
So I think wrt Train Simulator's simulation, there's a couple bits done properly like number of cylinders, stroke expansion and cylinder area
<Iskierka>
but like the boiler is just a numbers table that vaguely seems about right to ensure everything generally generates reasonable amounts of steam
<Iskierka>
So not completely accurate but you can make the engines work without being a boiler engineer
<Iskierka>
meanwhile Trainz does appear to (almost) completely simulate it, but lots of people not understanding how the boiler works means they fudge lots of boiler properties (including ignoring the fudge factors in favour of the actual physical property) to try make something that works well enough for them but might end up being complete nonsense
<Iskierka>
so Trainz can probably do better sim, if you make sure the engine is specced right
<Iskierka>
which it probably isn't
<Iskierka>
meanwhile Train Sim is wrong but usably wrong
