<diodelass> Hello, RadioShack? Yes I need to know if you have an adapter from SMA to bicycle tire air valve
<egg|zzz|egg>

<egg|zzz|egg>
UmbralRaptor: unrelated, are wombats cats
<Ellied>

yay principia#1416 is actually just principia::ksp_plugin::Plugin being weird and inconsistent, rather than KSP being weird and inconsistent

One or both vessels can be seen changing position abruptly by about 200 m. I suppose bike tire air valves look more like RSMA than SMA, but RSMA is stupid and pointless so nobody would need an adapter from bitke tire air to RSMA

err, s/RSMA/RP-SMA/g
<bofh>
Indeed.

RP-TNC can go fuck off too.

my prof put a bag of MHV bulkheads on my desk with a note that says "For new HVPS." I didn't know we were building a new high-voltage supply, or if I'm supposed to be designing it, or what, but there it is I guess.
* UmbralRaptor
chooses to believe that Ellied & prof are building a power plant or something.
<Ellied>
what we're really building is essentially a low-budget alternative to VME and NIM crates.
<Ellied>
the idea being that rather than being a ~$10³ module that plugs into a ~$10⁴ box, $THINGY will be a board that plugs onto an RPi, which then plugs into a rack with an ethernet switch and is indexed with EPICS.
<egg|zzz|egg>
hm, those $s have confusingly different semantics

<APlayer>
e_14159: Nearly 100 % confidence. The rocket is stable, has decent fuel margins and is flown by a custom autopilot.
<APlayer>
What /may/ happen is Kerbalism throwing in a failure at the engines, although any one part has a MTBF of 8 years. The first stage should survive any one engine failing, what would seriously make trouble is the second stage engine failing. Anything else may fail as it pleases, should still not harm the mission.

UmbralRaptor: Not failures for 3/3 full scale tests, and no failures on the relevant parts for multiple earlier partial tests. That is, I only started considering it "tests" after I finished vehicle design and code debugging. There were plenty of failures before I had the thing set up.
<APlayer>
No failures*
<APlayer>
considering them*
<APlayer>
But there is simply nothing that could possible change conditions enough to make it fail. The autopilot is 100 % precise, there is one minor issue that occurs on high physical timewarp, but it can be avoided. The vehicle has decent safety margins. There is no uncertainty, simply, that's it.
