Nittany Discord. — Anyone know what would cause Principia's flight planner window to be completely blank? https://i.imgur.com/Fupztwm.png

Stonesmile. — How are you still on version Δημόκριτος? 🤔
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — Because I'm using an older version of KSP that I heavily customized.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — It's 1.3.1.1. I didn't want to use a newer install and have to update and tweak config files again since that can take a while. I've spent enough time on this video project as it is.
<discord->
Stonesmile. — You could try upgrading to 'Fatou', the last version with 1.3 support. Might fix it 🤷♂️
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I don't know if I can find a link to that.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I did happen to have a clean version of Democratus, but installing that didn't fix the issue.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — And Democratus was working fine until today.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — Now it flat-out won't show the flight plan in any save of that install.

<discord->
Nittany Discord. — Installed that and removed all of my mods from that install. Loaded a craft. Click "Flight Plan," and no window shows up. :/
<discord->
Stonesmile. — Does it happen in a new save?
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — Yes.
<discord->
Stonesmile. — What about a new copy of KSP?
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I might be checking that next.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — Because it seems like something fundamental went wrong.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I've never had a mod bug this badly.
<discord->
egg. — Very odd behaviour indeed, but as alluded to above Δημόκριτος is definitely in the area of « Not going to let the mere thought of supporting that begin to speculate about the merest possibility of crossing my mind »
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I know. It's old. I wouldn't expect anyone to try and debug a years-old and outdated version of this mod.
<discord->
egg. — empty window is typically exceptions in the rendering path
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — And I loaded up a 1.2 RSS install, and Principia's giving me the same issue.
<discord->
egg. — so debug menu, show exceptions on screen (or stare into KSP.log) might point you to more confusing questions
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I don't know. For Principia to refuse to show the flight plan window in more than one install, regardless of game or mod version, just seems weird. I must be missing something.
<discord->
egg. — I’m not sure you are testing something that should work though. The empty window behaviour does look like a bug, but clicking flight plan will only make a window show up if you have a vessel in flight.
<discord->
egg. — (and you are flying it, i.e., if the active vessel is flying)
<discord->
egg. — otherwise there is nothing whose flight to plan
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — So what would cause the window to not show up even if I have a vessel in flight?
<discord->
egg. — No idea

Nittany Discord. — I think I figured out the problem.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — In that instance, I used the Alt+F12 to rendezvous one part of the ship to the other from the launchpad. Since I didn't launch it proper, then Principia thought that nothing had launched.
<discord->
egg. — ah yes, in some circumstances freshly cheated ships escape the all-seeing eye of Principia, though for reasons unclear this hasn’t happened to me in a while
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — Yeah, and it's odd because I cheated a part up yesterday to help plot an opposition-class Mars mission, and flight planning showed up just fine. That's why I was so confused about it today.
<discord->
Nittany Discord. — I had already properly launched and rendezvous with the stack I needed to fly to Mars via Venus, but I needed to change the initial orbit, so I thought I could get away with just cheating both ships into the parking orbit I wanted.
