<queqiao-> ⟨Iodyne⟩ I noticed the celestial apocalypse error log output the time in what appears to be a real-world format ("...at time 2003-01-29T09:20:00,0000000000000000 (TT)..."); however, I am not running principia with RSS. Just stock and OPM. The flight planner and everything else seem to follow kerbal time. Is there something I can do to fix this or is it a non-issue?
<queqiao-> ⟨test_account⟩ This actually looks good and doable 🤔
<queqiao-> ⟨test_account⟩ there is a tiny little issue though, that Jupiter assist might be a bit too much 😬
<queqiao-> ⟨Damien⟩ I recreated Pioneer 0/1 ages ago and it was exactly that. Lots of trial and error to get the ascent settings dialled in
<queqiao-> ⟨Damien⟩ With a historically accurate thor-able and launching on the correct date
<queqiao-> ⟨Damien⟩ The only issue was that due to an old principia craft rotation bug, the unguided capture burn couldn't happen https://youtu.be/sq88ESmCFh4
<queqiao-> ⟨Damien⟩ Those images Vlood posted were from the nasa documents from that mission that were used to research how it was done
<queqiao-> ⟨Damien⟩ I've just started playing KSP again (just in stock for now) after a long break and I forgot how fun noodles are
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ ⟪Iodyne⟫ I noticed the celestial apocalypse […] ⮪ The real-world format is just an internal implementation detail (we just stick the beginning of the stock game at noon on the first of January 2000). The apocalypse is a real issue with your solar system being badly designed, you should not proceed with that save; see...

<paculino> You modified the stock system with OPM, so no retrobop, and OPM may be unstable too. Get the retrobop config make make sure it loads after OPM (to be safe, this may not be necessary), then see if it remains. If it does, you may be able to find a stable modification of OPM.
<queqiao-> ⟨Iodyne⟩ ⟪egg⟫ The real-world format is just an […] ⮪ Oh yeah I know about the apocalypse and how to adjust orbits accordingly. Its just that in the past the time was formatted in seconds UT which would be far more convenient than using earth time when i dont have rss installed
<queqiao-> ⟨Iodyne⟩ I am familiar with the configs/patches; in fact what im trying to do is make my own that have improved stability (especially at high-timewarp) and for other planet packs. My issue was simply the date format I dont want in real world when i dont have RSS installed. Id like it to just be UT seconds like it used to be or kerbal time
<queqiao-> ⟨Iodyne⟩ * earth time
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ This is just an internal log message that gets displayed on-screen, and it uses the format we found most convenient for our development purposes. We are not going to change it. In fact this message used to be a straightforward crash to desktop; it is a dialog box only to make it clear what the issue is. This message is not meant to assist in debugging your solar system.
<queqiao-> ⟨Iodyne⟩ ⟪egg⟫ This is just an internal log message […] ⮪ Okay. I wasn't requesting a change; just I noticed it was different than in the past and I wanted to see it it affected other timekeeping operations; if it was a setting or something I missed. Thanks for the clarification. 👍
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ hello, for any meneuver , I should have the maneuver frame and the plotting frame with the same reference...? or it does not matter f I have different frames an each one
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ * maneuver
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ +reference
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ * on
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ * if
<queqiao-> ⟨Gratak-⟩ Maneuver frame should almost always be the frame you are currently in, while plotting would have to be what you are targetting (at least for fine tuning)
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ ok, thanks, now ...is there any way for to get rid of those annoying error messages from the integrator? sometimes I have no other choice than go to the max steps possible..and that makes the game unplayable
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ sometimes I don´t even start the maneuver and already have those messages everywhere
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ +to desing
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ * design
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ which error message specifically?
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ the integrator has found an error at the day bla bla hour blabla please try to set more steps or avoid a collision with some celestial

<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ well, that is most likely telling you that your flight plan runs into the ground
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ and then down to the centre of some celestial body, exhausting the step count budget
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ if you don’t care about that (for instance, because you want to run into some celestial body, or because you plan to add another manœuvre to dodge it later on), you can ignore it
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ ⟪egg⟫ if you don’t care about that (for […] ⮪ yes, exaclty, sometimes I do more than two or three maneuvers, but when this messages appear, I can´t see the trajectory
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ well, that is because your trajectory is running into a celestial somewhere on the way. Don’t do that.
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ I´ll try
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ ⟪Auer⟫ I´ll try ⮪ (Also, U+00B4 ACUTE ACCENT is not the right character here, you want either U+0027 APOSTROPHE or U+2019 RIGHT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK.)
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ ⟪egg⟫ (Also, U+00B4 ACUTE ACCENT is not the […] ⮪ ah, sorry my keyboard is international so sometimes I have a mess with aposthophes
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ * apostrophes
<queqiao-> ⟨Auer⟩ another question...any experience/advice/idea about tools like KSPtot and his possible integration with principia?
