<queqiao-> ⟨barabenji⟩ User group "new parents" gained one member.
<queqiao-> ⟨barabenji⟩ +Cancel that. The mouth would need to be happy, cause the kid finally sleeps...
<queqiao-> ⟨barabenji⟩ +Not a good user group prediction.

<queqiao-> ⟨ballatik⟩ optimizer worked well on 3 Mars transfers and 2 correction burns, then crashed on a correction burn that was not obviously different than the others. End of the KSP log has a few lines of "ScaleModList: listSize 902 maxListSize 494" with decreasing listSize each line, but then a ParallaxScatter message and nothing more.
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ I get the same crash every time on mac. Difficult diagonalization => crash
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ What should the behaviour be if it can't optimize?
<queqiao-> ⟨sichelgaita⟩ Difficult diagonalization is not the cause of the crash. If it can't optimize it should just do nothing. Please open github issues with the necessary logs as explained in https://github.com/mockingbirdnest/Principia/wiki/Installing,-reporting-bugs,-and-frequently-asked-questions#reporting-bugs. It's just too difficult to track "it crashes for me" on Discord.
<queqiao-> ⟨sichelgaita⟩ (Can be either one issue for all the problems that you encountered or one issue per problem, as you prefer.)
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ of course.
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ Are there any guides on plotting interplanetary transfers with Principia?
<queqiao-> Going to the moon is pretty straightforward, just choose MEO as the frame for maneuver and plot and go to town. Going to Venus has me stumped though.
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ Oh. I’m supposed to start out with an ejection burn plotted in ECI and then refine it in the sun-Venus frame?
<queqiao-> ⟨meepy6901⟩ BRO
<queqiao-> FRЕЕ GIFТ DISСОRD NIТRO - https://gclnk.com/wylhcgUixF
<queqiao-> ⟨ballatik⟩ I usually set it up with eci as the maneuver frame and solar inertial as the plotting frame to get the orbits to intersect, and then switch the plotting to sun-Venus to refine it.
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ And still keep eci as the maneuver frame throughout?
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ That’s what I ended up doing and it worked great!
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg4999⟩ yes, the maneuver frame should pretty much always be the frame that applies to the vessel's situation at the time of the maneuver. so here, the one where "prograde" means "in the direction of your orbit around the earth"

<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ Thank you, that makes perfect sense to me.
