egg changed the topic of #principia to: Logs: https://esper.irclog.whitequark.org/principia | <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly…

⟨ashnoom⟩ well, not in my current year/time of year. I had a transfer time of over 1200days. And I couldn't get principia's planner to plan so far ahead. Thus I don't know if I would make the transfer or not 🙂 I was already maxed on accuracy and nr of steps
<queqiao->
⟨lpg4999⟩ you want _low_ accuracy for long flight plans. 1200 days is very short
<queqiao->
⟨lpg4999⟩ principia can handle decades-long flight plans with no problem

⟨butcher6994⟩ I planned a 10,000 day flight plan to Pluto via a couple of the outer planets, from LEO.

⟨ashnoom⟩ sorry, that is what I meant. The button said 'max' and the value was at 10000km step accuracy
<queqiao->
⟨lpg4999⟩ then you did something else wrong. wild guess, you were trying to make a flight plan that involved _staying_ in LEO for a long time
<queqiao->
⟨ashnoom⟩ maybe one orbit at max
<queqiao->
⟨ashnoom⟩ no doubt it might be a case of PEBCAK, but not an obvious one to me 😉
<queqiao->
⟨lpg4999⟩ 🤷 my crystal ball is on strike, you'll have to provide more than vague descriptions if you want help
<queqiao->
⟨ashnoom⟩ I know, KSP is launching in the background 🙂
<queqiao->
⟨ashnoom⟩ oops, I too meant a 12000days, not 1200days*
