<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ So here’s how I do it. When in a parking orbit, pick ECI as your maneuver frame and earth-sun as your plotting frame. Change the time around until you see the periapsis starts rising. There’s several different transfers with different periods that work here. Fiddle around until you get an approach with the moon that grazes the moon’s orbit.
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ To get a capture, you need to approach the moon slow enough and hit the correct corridor.
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ alternating between looking at things in SEL and EML might help.
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ It does yeah
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ You want to end up in the blue and avoid the red
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ Easiest way is to come from the outside and hit retrograde
<queqiao-> ⟨makoivis⟩ Even if you don’t get a straight up capture, you’ll at least get a very cheap capture burn.
<queqiao-> ⟨alforath⟩ would that be a way to get RCS-only capture burn?
<queqiao-> ⟨qazerowl⟩ It is possible to not need _any_ capture burn with this method. (although it takes 1-2 months to get there...)
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg4999⟩ but with no burn, you generally only get a temporary orbit
