Unpaid interns should be abolished and EVERYONE should move to apprentiships
<Darklight[m]>
Australia's fairwork gonna crack down on your ass otherwise, if they receive complaints they investigate and can end up in *actions* being taken :)

i think it depends where you are in your life and career
<VITAS[m]>
if youre at the beginning and want to find out if a line of work is for you its ok
<VITAS[m]>
if you want to actualy learn something you should aim for an apprenticeship
<VITAS[m]>
you have something that gurantees you a better job later down the line afterwards

Astro do you guys want to know how my first Mun landing went? xD
<RockyTV[m]>
VITAS my boss asked if I could write a component to preview autocad files in their website. I spent 3 hours looking at it and there are 2 ways: converting DWG to DXF via an external app then loading the DXF with a library that converts it to SVG, or use AutoDesk Forge. the latter is "better" but requires much more work. for example, you need to use their API to upload and convert DWG files, and you
<RockyTV[m]>
need to pay for each file converted.
<VITAS[m]>
RockyTV: yes ist much like psd files
<VITAS[m]>
your answer should be: yes ...how much are you willing to spend on it
<VITAS[m]>
that answer always applies to every request :)
<VITAS[m]>
Astro: so you wiggled yourself free? no rescue mission? sad :)
<RockyTV[m]>
I'll talk about it tomorrow with my boss, it's absurd the amount of money AutoDesk charges
<RockyTV[m]>
you have a proprietary file format and you must pay to convert it to another proprietary format by the same company
<VITAS[m]>
RockyTV: because they have a oligopol
<VITAS[m]>
btw never say "ill do it" always say "ill look into it" :)

What if the elements of a mod's score that reflect how well it's populated (long description, source code link, recently updated) added a percentage of its base score rather than a static number? That way those pieces could remain relevant even at the high end of the distribution.
