<Eddi|zuHause> so... how much electric storage do i need to supply a science lab for a munar night?
<Eddi|zuHause> i'm having some bug with tweakscaled tanks, where the capacity is wrong after loading...
Fluburtur has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<Eddi|zuHause> it's probably a mod conflict
<Pinkbeast> Recommend switching to Tweakscale Rescaled, if you haven't

<Eddi|zuHause> slight annoyance about [x] science, it doesn't seem to be designed for filling up a research lab.

<LunchBot> You attempt to ascend from Jool's surface. You get 4 hours and 52 minutes of sleep.
<Althego> that is not great but sufficient
<Althego> did the ascent take that long? or was the sleep the reward
<Eddi|zuHause> i probably got distracted

<LunchBot> You send Ted Kerman on a suicide mission. This costs you the lives of 70 mostly innocent crewmembers.
<Eddi|zuHause> uhm...
<packbart> all Teds
<Eddi|zuHause> i'm having a hard time convincing CKAN to not remove half a dozen mods that say they depend on tweakscale, when trying to replace it with tweakscale rescaled
<packbart> hrm. Rescaled could add a "provides: Tweakscale" to CKAN metadata. not sure that can be fixed easily in the client
<Eddi|zuHause> it's mostly about the redistributable
<Eddi|zuHause> there's also a conflict with "KSP Recall" which triggers a number of other domino effects when i remove that
<Eddi|zuHause> i don't really know what that is needed for, but the mod description sounds like it could be part of the bug i encountered
<packbart> I think that's Lisia's own version of a community fixes mod
<Pinkbeast> What _are_ the affected mods? I know JonnyOThan is working on this - when I wanted to switch he provided an additional CKAN metadata source and it all worked but IDK if that's the current procedure
<Pinkbeast> (It's expected not to want, or work with, KSP Recall)
<Pinkbeast> Rescaled has its own Redist which you want
<Eddi|zuHause> so the tweakscale redist triggers FAR continued and Photon Sailor (which i'm not sure why i have that, never used it), and Recall triggers Interstellar Fuel Switch and a bunch of related things
<Pinkbeast> Even if you are installing Tweakscale-RescaledRedist?
<Pinkbeast> IFS doesn't seem to have a KSPRecall dependency in https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/NetKAN/blob/master/NetKAN/InterstellarFuelSwitch.netkan
<Eddi|zuHause> hm, some combination of clicking now makes it work
<Eddi|zuHause> must have been some other shuffling attempt
<Eddi|zuHause> so, the conflict resolver might be doing weird things

<Eddi|zuHause> i can't figure out VTOL engines... they need to be put into SAS control...
<Mat2ch> VTOL needs a lot of complex controlling, usually not done by humans
<Eddi|zuHause> that's what i just said?
<Mat2ch> we have different understandings of SAS it seems :D

<Eddi|zuHause> hm, i managed to take off and hold it stable enough to reach the contracted 8000m... now trying to land
<Mat2ch> I once experimented with kOS to build a VTOL controller. With jet engines it was hard, because they take some time to spool up
<Mat2ch> that's why in reality they usually are deflecting the airstream instead of trying to control it
<Eddi|zuHause> should i count my landing attempts?
<Eddi|zuHause> so... it's lying on its back instead of the landing legs, and one part on the "tail" broke off...
<Eddi|zuHause> close enough? :p
<Eddi|zuHause> also, i didn't hit my intended landing at the island airfield, but near the top of the mountain on the island...
<Eddi|zuHause> i should cover my planes in landing legs from all directions :p
<Eddi|zuHause> i used to have this contract pack that sent me to all kinds of easter eggs.. i wonder what happened to that
<Eddi|zuHause> also, i have received the first chunk of data from the ground experiment, seems it transmits in 10% steps.

<Mat2ch> I usually use mid-stage fairings if the regular shrounds don't fit. But then you will need struts as well or it'll become floppy
<Eddi|zuHause> could invert the fairing and use interstage nodes?
<Mat2ch> you need a decoupler as well :/
<Mat2ch> that's what always upset me about the inerstage nodes. You can't get them with a decoupler built in, you have to add your own
<Mat2ch> also a fairing should be a decoupler by itself
<Eddi|zuHause> well, in this rocket, i added a decoupler under the engine, and added a fairing under that, that closes on a dome tank on the other end
<Eddi|zuHause> other question, if tab cycles through focused planets, what's the button for cycling in reverse?
<Mat2ch> shift+tab
<Eddi|zuHause> tried that, that triggers the throttle...
<Mat2ch> I think that's why I changed the throttle to "alt"
<Mat2ch> but where do I find the KSP config file?
<Mat2ch> uh, settings.cfg.
<Mat2ch> I was in the right directory, but overlooked it
<Mat2ch> And I think you can use Shift+B to lock the brakes
<Eddi|zuHause> shift+tab toggles the steam overlay
<Mat2ch> I play without the overlay because of that...
