<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ Anyone aware of a bug where a flight plan's navball maneuver node points in the wrong direction?
<queqiao-> ⟨Al2Me6⟩ No, but I've encountered a different maneuver bug wherein the plugin adapter NREs and the node shows up as 0 m/s. Went away after game reload and have never reproduced it.
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ it's very odd. initially I thought I was dealing with a "not getting all the dv I should" bug, but I eventually noticed that towards the end of the burn, the node "jumps" off to the side. And when I look in map view, indeed I see that while my capture ends up higher than it should (less dv than expected), it also ends up with a _bigger_ inclination change than it should (so the dv was wasted sideways?)
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ so either I'm pointing in the wrong direction because the node is wrong, or my thrust vector is somehow not going where it should (but the latter doesn't explain the node jump)

<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ If I manually apply velocity changes via hyperedit that match the flight plan, I end up in the same "wrong" orbit. So the... _plan_ is wrong
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ oh, dammit. never mind, I'm the idiot
<queqiao-> ⟨Al2Me6⟩ Rebase?
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ turns out Inertially Fixed is a _really_ bad thing to forget when doing a plane change
<queqiao-> ⟨lpg⟩ (_still_ doesn't explain the jumping node, but chalk it up to the game noticing I screwed up and doing something about it?)

<queqiao-> ⟨expanders are superior⟩ unknown.png ⮪ still having an issue where the closes apporach to venus i can get is around 1 billion meters, against the twp data, my LAN is off by about .4 and my uinclination is off by .009, surely that is not enough to make this happen?
<queqiao-> ⟨WarpPrime⟩ ⟪expanders are superior⟫ still having an issue where the closes […] ⮪ 0.4 degrees of lan deviation at 0.7 AU is about 731 million meters, so probably it should be fine-tuned more
<queqiao-> ⟨expanders are superior⟩ okay thanks, im not sure how i can improve that, using MJ launch into LAN
<queqiao-> ⟨Butcher⟩ Hmm I doubt my lan is super accurate and I can hit venus from the parking orbit. Have you tried just bumping the delta v up? I find twp underestimates a little.
<queqiao-> ⟨Butcher⟩ Also presumably you're using the correct reference frames?
<queqiao-> ⟨expanders are superior⟩ what should i be using?
<queqiao-> ⟨Butcher⟩ Eci for the manoeuvre, burning tangent exclusively ideally.
<queqiao-> ⟨Butcher⟩ Plan in VSO.
<queqiao-> ⟨Butcher⟩ You're aiming to have your an/dn in that frame correspond to your periapsis close to venus.
<queqiao-> ⟨expanders are superior⟩ Okay thanks for the help. I believe I set those up, redoing the launch to see what’s up with the LAN
