⟨rnlahaye⟩ I was able to download Ἥρων, install it, and load a save without issue other than Gatekeeper (which you seem to have already bypassed). Your folder structure seems correct to me. Do you have Principia logs? They will be in <KSP dir>/glog/Principia.

⟨sichelgaita⟩ I am not saying that it explains anything, but I want to point out that Principia does not support KSP 1.12.1. As I recall, there were a number of glitches in that version of KSP. I would strongly recommend to upgrade to 1.12.3 (that should be uneventful).
