egg changed the topic of #principia to: Logs: https://esper.irclog.whitequark.org/principia | <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly…
<queqiao-> ⟨TheSquirrelPatrol⟩ ⟪Icey⟫ It also jumps the manoeuver node to the […] ⮪ That sounds like a bug from an old version of mechjeb, that didn't account for spool up times. What MJ version are you using, and from which repo?
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ whatever is the most current one in ckan
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ I read the code
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ and I think the problem is that it's jumping to the next node too early
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ according to the principia devs, that's more or less by design
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ as in the burn times are estimates
<queqiao-> ⟨TheSquirrelPatrol⟩ Do you have the main or the dev branch release? Dev has been working pretty well for me
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ interestingly I don't even see the other?
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ I created two github issues explaining what seems to be going on...
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ have you tried with a flight plan?
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ because executing a single node is fine
<queqiao-> ⟨Icey⟩ only when there are subsequent nodes would you notice the issue
<queqiao-> ⟨TheSquirrelPatrol⟩ The dev branch of mechjeb is from an entirely different repo, the RP-1 install has the url you put into ckan settings, or at least it used to. And I usually do single nodes myself, I do recall it was a little off the last time I had multiple nodes planned out, so may be a known issue
<queqiao-> ⟨Proxima-b⟩ How do I know where should I aim my vessel to execute the burn ?
<queqiao-> ⟨Proxima-b⟩ I can't find the "show on navball" check
<queqiao-> ⟨TheSquirrelPatrol⟩ Odd, I'm used to manuevers showing up with the dV marker on the ball, a marker, etc. I don't recall doing anything specific to enable that
<queqiao-> ⟨TheSquirrelPatrol⟩ If you open up mechjeb manuever planner, does it have "execute next principia node" as an option?
<queqiao-> ⟨TheSquirrelPatrol⟩ Yeah, I have a "show on navball" and "warp to manuever" button right under the "Rebase" button. Did you perhaps have an existing flight plan that you didn't rebase?
<queqiao-> ⟨Proxima-b⟩ Found out why
<queqiao-> ⟨Proxima-b⟩ The tracking station haven't upgraded
