FLHerne: NMS has been worthwhiel and enjoyable since at least the Next patch, if not earlier. It's got a LOT of fun stuff to do now and is quite enjoyable.

Not enough to keep me playing constantly, but definitely enough to give me a month or two each year, and they keep adding huge amounts of stuff

that said, i'm still mostly waiting for KSP2. I keep thinking about doing another KSP run, but KSP2 feels so close, with target being FY2023/spring 2023, so it's looking like we could really be looking at beginning of next year (FY2023 ENDS in the beginning of 2023)

i definitely find NMS more engaging than Elite. As bad as the ship handling in NMS is, Elite's is infinitely worse
