<LunchBot> You construct an interplanetary transit vehicle out of graphene, spin-polarized helium, and [DATA EXPUNGED]. Well you would do if cats were not sleeping on the controls.

<LunchBot> You retrofit your latest craft with a Fitbit. Your beam-core antimatter rocket experiences a hard start.
<Mat2ch> Fitbits don't have the computing power to control the antimatter
<Althego> should i buy no man's sky for 50% off?
<Mat2ch> yes
<Mat2ch> and then quit your job for the next few month.
<Mat2ch> the time factor is the only thing holding me back. Because I know I will play it for hours and hours
<XXCoder> hard start indeed
<XXCoder> probably by exploding all of ship

<LunchBot> You search deep in the Mandlebrot set for Many-Angled Ones. You are sued by Apple.
<Mat2ch> Because they patented and copyrighted Ones.
<raptop> You accidentally found the Ones with slightly rounded corners
<Mat2ch> The really bad ones
<FLHerne> Mat2ch: Has No Man's Sky grown something to actually do now?
<FLHerne> last time I looked was just after base-building was added
<FLHerne> and I just felt "ok, so I could build a pretty base here, but why?"
<FLHerne> (of course KSP has the same issue to an extent, but at least there are contracts/labs/ISRU)
<SporkWitch> FLHerne: NMS has been worthwhiel and enjoyable since at least the Next patch, if not earlier. It's got a LOT of fun stuff to do now and is quite enjoyable.
<SporkWitch> Not enough to keep me playing constantly, but definitely enough to give me a month or two each year, and they keep adding huge amounts of stuff
<FLHerne> hm, ok
<SporkWitch> that said, i'm still mostly waiting for KSP2. I keep thinking about doing another KSP run, but KSP2 feels so close, with target being FY2023/spring 2023, so it's looking like we could really be looking at beginning of next year (FY2023 ENDS in the beginning of 2023)
<FLHerne> skimming the patch notes it does look like NMS has grown a LOT
sandbox has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<packbart> yeah, it comes up often enough in the Elite forums ;)
<SporkWitch> i definitely find NMS more engaging than Elite. As bad as the ship handling in NMS is, Elite's is infinitely worse
<SporkWitch> where NMS pulls me back in for a month or two out of each year, E:D is lucky to get me for a weekend every two years.

<LunchBot> You put a spaceplane into a regular plane to see whether it is somehow different from the usual metaplaning. The crystal sphere holding up the Mun shatters. You're gonna have to pay for that, buddy.
<packbart> should've used an orbital plane, buddy
