<xShadowx> ksp tracks resources by their id, which is a hashcode (int) of the name, granted that 4 billion different id are possible, but kinda surprised some mod adding resources hasnt popped up and broke things with the name just right :|

<Virindi> also, while 4 billion ids are possible, the distribution will hardly be uniform for GetHashCode :)
<Virindi> surprised it doesn't just put them in a dictionary, that's how you should do it...first comparison by hash code, if match then second is a full comparison
