raptop changed the topic of #principia to: READ THE FAQ: http://goo.gl/gMZF9H; The current version is Galileo. We currently target 1.5.1, 1.6.1, 1.7.x, 1.8.1, and 1.9.1. <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly… | <egg> also 4e16 m * 2^-52 is uncomfortably large

Damien. — @konstantinua00 if you're making a burn while moving in an orbit, logically you have to rotate while burning to always be thrusting in the same direction relative to the orbit. This is why the maneuver node indicator moves on your navball. Principia assumes you have the attitude control to be able to rotate. If you don't (spin stabilised craft for example) then you need to tell principia that the b

Damien. — Principia node plans model the time taken to do the burn so it's important for it to know this. In stock all burns are planned assuming the entire dv budget it expended instantly at the point of the node so it's less important

Kerbinator. — Yep, accuracy of Principia node is amazing lol.

Kerbinator. — Stock manoeuvre are all modelled as "instant burn"

Kerbinator. — Even if you make your burn time symmetric at node time, it will still be inaccurate with long burns

Kerbinator. — IDK what will happen when you need to stage in a very large burn (For example, some sort of LEO departure)
