<queqiao-> ⟨EberKain⟩ I have a weird bug where when the mouse cursor is over the UI window from some mods in the map view or tracking station it will cause the world to spin like crazy. I never had this before trying principia.
<queqiao-> ⟨Al2Me6⟩ ⟪EberKain⟫ I have a weird bug where when the mouse […] ⮪ This is a known thing, yes. Nobody's aware of a solution, unfortunately.
<queqiao-> ⟨EberKain⟩ ok, was worried i broke my game somehow. Thanks.
<queqiao-> ⟨Infernal⟩ is there like a beginners tutorial for principia?
<queqiao-> ⟨badgermasher⟩ There is the concepts page on the wiki (https://github.com/mockingbirdnest/Principia/wiki/Concepts). Pay special attention to the plotting frames, once you understand them you'll basically be home free. If you learn to pick the right plotting frame for what you want you'll find principia to be a joy.
<queqiao-> ⟨Infernal⟩ thanks, I'll check it out. Currently considering switching to principia mid career
<queqiao-> ⟨Infernal⟩ I have a question on the limitations tab of that. Specifically what is in that screenshot. Does that mean that If I have a planned burn that requires stage separation mid way through the burn it will cause issues?
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ it will indeed cause issues, though now you no longer need to recreate the flight plan, merely to hit the rebase button.
<queqiao-> ⟨Infernal⟩ ah ok

<queqiao-> ⟨EberKain⟩ In stock I would use orbital period numbers from MJ to synchronize comm satellites in orbit, my guess is that will not work for long term time scales with principia?
<queqiao-> ⟨Stonesmile⟩ The orbit analysis window in Principia can give you the period time
<queqiao-> ⟨EberKain⟩ will the period stay relatively static over time?
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ it even have a specific section about recurrence.
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ ⟪EberKain⟫ will the period stay relatively static […] ⮪ I recommend you look carefully at the UI in question, and at its documentation in https://github.com/mockingbirdnest/Principia/wiki/Orbit-analysis.
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ it even has a specific section about recurrence.
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ You don’t want to look at periods for questions of recurrence, but instead at the recurrence triple and at https://github.com/mockingbirdnest/Principia/wiki/Orbit-analysis#equatorial-crossings for fine tuning.
<queqiao-> ⟨egg⟩ In any case, the analyser gives you data valid over some timespan of your choice, so set that to whatever is relevant to your mission.
<queqiao-> ⟨EberKain⟩ Its... Its like a whole new game. I clearly still have a lot to learn.
