<LunchBot> You help a newbie in #KSPOfficial. Meanwhile, someone is _wrong_ on the IRC. The only sign of your demise is a brief neutrino burst.
<Eddi|zuHause> that happens more often than you think...
<Eddi|zuHause> recently someone on the internet was so fractally wrong, that i wanted to ask them "are you sure you're not an AI bot?"
<XXCoder> wow someone had revenge on you just because you tried to correct
<XXCoder> man what a overkill

<Neal> seems like pretty bad news that the starship upper stage was underperforming
<Neal> have they been able to test the raptor vacuum engines in an actual vacuum before?
<Althego> technically you can do that, scott has a video about it, but i have never seen such test for the raptor, i always saw it at 1 atmosphere
<Mat2ch> Oh, where did they report that they were underperforming?
<Mat2ch> I thought it was obvious that there was an oxygen leak somewhere?
<Mat2ch> maybe at the filler, because the counterpart got bent and twisted, because it didn't retract fast enough
<Althego> usually underperforming is some mixture problem
<Neal> Mat2ch, seems like there would be both an internal and external valve
Althego has quit [Quit: HMI Module Alpha Humana on approach to Space Station Mercury]
<Mat2ch> Neal: but it could case a fracture in the tank itself
<Mat2ch> *could cause
<Neal> pretty unfortunate that the video downlink never worked
<Mat2ch> yeah
<Mat2ch> hope they got enough data for the next flight
<Neal> I wonder what it would take to make a black box capable of surviving a FTS trigger
<Neal> also I'm a bit surprised no one has found and debris, I'd expect a couple tiles to wash ashore
<Neal> unless they're more dense than water, but I don't know if they are
<Mat2ch> They bascially porose stone
<Neal> some heat tiles are ceramic
<Mat2ch> which also should be more dense than water
<Mat2ch> and it depends on where the wind is blowing. Maybe something will was ashore somewhere, but not nearby
<Mat2ch> *wash ashore
<Mat2ch> and making the black box should be easy. Retrieving it is the hard part
<Neal> gulf stream should push everything north up the east coast
<Mat2ch> but everything that floats is on the top of the ocean, which is mostly affected by wind
<Neal> it's widely known that sea currents are the main factor
<Neal> especially big powerful currents like the gulf stream
<Mat2ch> Waves
<Mat2ch> They say it's mainly waves
<Mat2ch> And I think that study was made together with The Ocean Cleanup or at least very close to them.
