between OBS and 8x AA at 2560x1440, I'm not sure there ARE performance issues, and won't be until I see it myself on friday. I'm running well above the recommended CPU and RAM, and one of the highest-end (stock) 3080 models (the recommended). No streaming software eating up resources, no AA (it's not needed at that res, and KSP1 had serious performance issues with AA, even on this card), and
<SporkWitch>
we'll see how it plays

I must say. being slightly below the recommended gpu and being on track for a hefty tax refund is not a good combo
<umaxtu>
huh, I just started Matt Lowne's KSP2 video and noticed on the title screen that he is running a debug build

Question is: Physics limitation or graphics? He sadly didn't turn the graphics down to see
<Mat2ch>
and one thing I noticed in one of the videos. The player had built a plane with two engines. And on startup the plane suddenly turned to the right with no control input.
<Mat2ch>
Which means they are still having the same problem as in KSP1 with getting the thrust on simultaneously.
<Mat2ch>
has probably something to do with the tree-structure the craft is handled in

Oh no

At least I know they can be far out.
<packbart>
one day we will have interstellar comets in KSP 2 and then you can go and catch them all
<darsie>
We have them now. They are on Kerbol escape trajectories.

<raptop>
To be fair, a dyson falling on your head would hurt
* raptop
is intentionally misunderstanding the outcome >.>
<FLHerne>
I think you need more than one object to form a cloud
<raptop>
more the idea of somehow a rocket exploding or something resulted in a bunch of vacuums being launched into the surrounding area
<FLHerne>
then it would be a cloud of vacuums, not of vacuum
* darsie
didn't have enough money to pay for his bike repair.

<darsie>
The rim.

wheel rim?
<FLHerne>
no fixing that really, but basic wheels aren't hugely expensive
<FLHerne>
find your nearest urban waterway that people have chucked bikes into and a grappling hook, free wheels :p

two different properties. Is the rocket staging before getting to orbit?
