After mishearing "fluorine," you embark on a quest to locate the rare and even more reactive "ceilingine." You attempt to break the regular expressions engine.

the outcome should be a mission

anyway, going from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 makes it more like 45

will be impressed if I get a usable VAB
<Althego>
the vab is way faster than the outside
<Althego>
like 4 times
<Althego>
probably because it doesnt run the physics and there is less to see
<Althego>
so i predict the vab is still usable

taking a long time to load to the VAB

anyway, apparently "pumping sim once" is a known bug

The ship is close but beyond Kerbins SOI.
<Mat2ch>
darsie: on that scale intersects were always tricky.
<darsie>
I had an encounter before.
<Mat2ch>
I think in that case I made a named save, burnt the previous manouver node and then made mid-course corrections
<darsie>
also the intersect markers go away once I get an escape trajectory.
<darsie>
This worked before.

thx

I made a ksp2 video showcasing several bugs that I encountered, hoping to help the development team in any way I can. Is there any way I can send the video to the dev team of KSP2? It's sort of a mass feedback to help the dev team spot and eliminate several bugs in one go.
<packbart>
Guest99468: I only know the bug report form
<packbart>
maybe upload the video and provide a link in the report
<packbart>
'Save game data is stored in "AppData\LocalLow\Intercept Games\Kerbal Space Program 2".' - hrm. running parallel instances in different configurations could get more tricky. we'll see
<packbart>
the forum did spring up the usual KSP 2 modding topics
<packbart>
"Given the low fun factor I can only dedicate around 50 watts of electricity to the game." - that's a new equation
<raptop>
As best I'm aware, there is/will be a lot of modding info that will require people do shifty-eyes kaomoji when asked how they figured something out
<packbart>
well, the existing KSP 1 modding documentation isn't much more than "these classes and fields exist"
<packbart>
the Community Fixes mod shouldn't be looked at too closely, either :)

raptop: 32 mg/100 ml is the maximum allowed koffein dose here

<Mat2ch>
oh and there's coffein in dark chocolate. I didn't know that.
<Mat2ch>
That explains a lot :P
<SporkWitch>
so i don't know if the new aerodynamic model is necessarily more realistic, as i haven't ended up in a stall that IRL could be recovered by diving and then weathervaning to recover, but it's DEFINITELY more controllable.
<Mat2ch>
How does a self-built shuttle handle?
<Mat2ch>
That's my main issue
<Mat2ch>
with KSP1 at least.
<Mat2ch>
Because the magic "drag" which is acting weird turns my ship around and stuff
<SporkWitch>
i just was playing around with the new procedural wings, built something silly lol. VAB doesn't do a great job of reporting TWR or ΔV currently (it's on the WIP list, they know they need to give more info), so building a shuttle or spaceplane would probably be a PITA. This thing handles surprisingly well, though, and i'm about to find out if i can land it on the grasslands here lol
<SporkWitch>
i thought it'd be fun to make something more sci-fi spaceship-y lol
<SporkWitch>
the rapiers guzzle methane even in air-breathing mode, though; they feel much weaker than before, which is weird, since most other engines have had both thrust and Iₛₚ buffed
<FLHerne>
in the sense of "fierce, cruel, terrible, sinister, malevolent"
<FLHerne>
I suppose the sense of "a high barren field or moor" would work too
<FLHerne>
fell creatures of that kind are mostly sheep :p
<raptop>
It's supposed to be a pun here, right?
<FLHerne>
we usually seem to do puns here
<FLHerne>
"fell creatures" in the sinister sense is a stock OG-gothic-horror phrase though
<raptop>
(That is, the creature is like some Tolkien monster, and might have fallen from orbit onto your rocket)
<raptop>
...yes, I assume "fell" as in "malevolent" with Tolkien >.>
<FLHerne>
not sure that makes grammatical sense
<FLHerne>
as a pun
