Ironically, this is sounding similar to an issue a friend's company ran into a decade ago lol. Was the beginning of their big annual industry conference and their site was down. She reached out and I spun up a placeholder site for them in a few minutes, but it took another 6 hours for them to get to someone that could update the DNS records to point at the placeholder.
