Bob sets a long-jump world record but only wins a bronze medal in the Gillympics (Val and Jeb don't come back down, making the distance undefined but clearly greater). Several books will be written about you.

You test a theory whether every part of the universe that is not in your line of sight is destroyed and recreated as needed. Your craft doesn't fly, it can just go up.
<packbart>
hrm. do I fiddle more with the launcher, so that the relay dropper has some more dV for deorbit - or do I not care about a small bit of debris...
<packbart>
it would still have enough fuel to bend its orbit out of resonant period, so the dead probe won't come up to greet each relay on their orbit
<packbart>
in other science, the sample return capsule from the (JNSQ-)Mun took 4 orbits to finally aerobrake into Kerbin
<FLHerne>
seems untidy, you should make it re-enter or self-destruct
<FLHerne>
or have something eat it :p
<packbart>
yeah, I could push it on the pile of things to recover once I unlock the claw
<packbart>
I would probably have to change the boosters to get more dV out of it. the relays launch to a 45/23Mm transfer orbit, that is half-way between Kerbin and Mun in this system
<packbart>
hrm. the hydrogen boil-off already foils the plan. I need to tinker with it, anyway

You start an Action War. A kerbal named Maxwell sees, through the storm, three descending streams of fire and then nothing but darkness. All sound is torn away by the wind.

The math should now finally work out. You think. You melt Kerbin's scrith shell, causing it to fall into the singularity.
<Deddly>
Now THAT's more effective than Action War
<Mat2ch>
You should start a 20 minute long infinity war.
<Althego>
narrator's voice: the math did not work out
<darsie>
Our math professor showed us a way to show all numbers including infinity.
<darsie>
Make a half circle with center at 0,1, touching the x-axis. Now a beam starting at the center can point to any number, +/- infinity being at +/- 90 degrees.
<darsie>
As I zoom in to Tylo the ship symbol gets smaller down to just a point: http://0x0.st/Hhut.png

It's annoying that I can't switch back to 2 with alt-tab after defocusing it with alt-tab.
<darsie>
Instead I have to click it in teh task bar.
<Eddi|zuHause>
there are some "fun" methods to include infinity in the complex plane
<Eddi|zuHause>
effectively you draw a circle, and then mirror everything from the inside to the outside and the other way around. then the center of the circle maps to infinity
<Eddi|zuHause>
in that space, straight lines are circles that go through infinity.
<Althego>
tylo is relatively hard to land on, is it intersting?

but maybe the asbetos would have saved the mission?

the homebrew was the missing secret ingredient of the mixture
