I usually set ~10m/s as the turn start speed and a "40%" curve
<packbart>
then vary it a bit per vessel, e.g. with an anemic upper stage it pays off to stay vertical for longer, so separation happens higher up
<darsie>
I turn at 30-100 m/s by 10-20 deg. The higher the number the more accurately I can reproduce it.

til: It's not enough to bring a Kerbal back from the surface of a planet, you have to bring a whole ship back.
<darsie>
Does the contract say so?
<darsie>
1337
<Mat2ch>
yes
<Mat2ch>
Vessel. Kerbal is not enough. But doesn't matter, I have a solution for this :D
<darsie>
I wonder which part you have to recover.
<darsie>
I guess a control part (capsule, computer).
<packbart>
ah, yeah, I still have to do that for a mission, too. the crew returned in the back-up capsule
<packbart>
I sent an empty ship ahead because I wasn't sure if the lander would have enough fuel left to return to Kerbin
<packbart>
turns out it didn't :)

After an eventful day with a mop and bucket; you hastily scribble "The Nausasseum" on the door to the high-G training room. Icefire is amazed at how much you (ab)use a joke feature of his bot.

You can't fullfill a rendezvous/dock contract by splitting and docking a craft. Does it count if you join two from two separate launches.in KEO and then fly to the destination and split them?
<Mat2ch>
It only has to have different launch IDs afair
<Mat2ch>
and why are so many idi, eh, people driving over that stuff?
<sandbox>
it's a miracle
<Mat2ch>
But were you moved by it?
<Althego>
at least one guy got out and cleared the debris
<Althego>
the one who caused it should have done so
<sandbox>
I hope it didn't damage anyone's car
<Mat2ch>
if it did they could've stopped and cleaned up before

Your campaign to incorporate more 'atomic' things into your space program meets with triumphal success; whole fleets are commissioned, and you get to pilot the first production vehicle. You're definitely going to die up there - if you have to listen to any more godawful disco music.

Through a complex sequence of gravity assists, you achieve a high negative speed and go back in time. While endlessly and fruitlessly arguing about measurement units, you actually get nowhere.

I did it, but they wont belive

That feels like a single coherent mission or outcome but not a pair o_O
