<schnobs> Mike`: you've considered the techlevel?
<Mike`> schnobs, the tiny panel with the biggest efficiency is the lowest tech level
<Bornholio> also scale factor is sqrt for area and cuberoot for volume
<Mike`> Bornholio, if you rescale a part with rescaleFactor 0.5, you rescale each dimension by 0.5 and thus get 1/4 the area as you have correctly pointed out. If you then scale the stats by only 1/2 instead of 1/4, then that's...wrong? :)
<Mike`> Bornholio, you can verify this either by looking at https://github.com/KSP-RO/RealismOverhaul/blob/master/GameData/RealismOverhaul/RO_SuggestedMods/Squad/RO_Squad_Electrical.cfg or by just placing 2 of the parts ingame next to each other.
<Mike`> That's how if ound out, you need to be blind to not see that the medium panel is not half the size of the standard panel but smaller.

<schnobs> I've dabbled with panels once, but their basic stats where laid down a long time ago.
<schnobs> iirc there should be figures in the comments, as to how much power and mass is alright for a given area.
<Mike`> well, the panels in question were added in june 2017 - i haven't yet checked other panels but hope they're scaled correctly

<schnobs> I don't know where the figures in the comments came from, but bresumably there's a few man-hours of research behind them. So part stats should be adjusted to match these values, I'd say.
