Stonesmile. — @egg Would you happen to know how the coordinates on the moon are defined with Principia + RSS? I assume that normal RSS has the point facing Earth as (0,0), is that wrong?
* raptop
assumes that RSS does not simulate libration then?
<discord->
Stonesmile. — Yeah... I'm leaning towards not bothering with defining the coordinates on the moon in a KSP contract differently if you have Principia 😅

egg. — raptop: I would think that there would still be some eccentricity in RSS—that being said, the motion of the moon without Principia is obviously garbled beyond recognition

Paculino (ŝi/ri/she/they). — So Ceres uses the IAU rather than the NASA coordinate system?
<discord->
egg. — I didn’t know NASA had decided to roll their own thing… In any case our orientation data comes from the WGCCRE report. We may be a bit out of date though, I think we are using data from the 2009 report.

Paculino (ŝi/ri/she/they). — It is because of the initial model being based on poor data, and one group fixed the initial assumption and the other started over.
