<darsie>
FLHerne: That fold is actually for the refinery rover to dock and refuel the rocket. But I need Chaddon and the chair on the rover for efficiency and to repair legs if the hydraulic legs misbehave.
<darsie>
Yeah, the fairing is gone now.

You suggest that IKEA replace their Blåhaj line with plush krakens. The booster stage is eaten by the space kraken, and the barge it was supposed to land on is eaten by the normal kraken.

shower thought: do they think about what country they're passing over before venting the waste tanks, to avoid some country taking offense? lol
Fluburtur has joined #KSPOfficial
<darsie>
What waste tanks do they vent?
<cringe>
they have a waste water tank
<cringe>
sitting at 54% atm
<SporkWitch>
pretty sure they vent the urine tanks as well
<darsie>
Do they get more water than they electrolyse?
<darsie>
Or recycle for drinking?
<cringe>
the urine tank goes to a water processor, out scomes clean water and waste water
<cringe>
clean water will also go to o2 production
<packbart>
they vent some excess hydrogen, methane and co2
<cringe>
there was a really cool diagram of it all i had found many moons ago, should have bookmarked it
<packbart>
the solid waste probably burns up in the Progress. not sure if they time reentry to be over a specific country or not
<Mat2ch>
I wonder why the never made a CO2 splitter...
<Althego>
however solid waste is dried out and dropped with the returning cargo vessels and burns up
<darsie>
Do they boost the ISS when venting gases?
<darsie>
Like, with a rocket nozzle?
<Althego>
hehe i dont think so
<Althego>
it would be like trying to move a train by farting
<SporkWitch>
technically it DOES impart an impulse, though so does pushing off the walls inside lol

Guest34438: KSP2? Known issue. At least one instance of this particular symptom is confirmed to be fixed in the upcoming patch. https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/214319-week-one-adventures/
<Guest34438>
shame on you for realsing such a rage quitter - greedy, very greedy charging AAA price for this garbage
<Guest34438>
yeah KSP 2
<SporkWitch>
don't buy early betas if you aren't willing to accept bugs

its not even Alpha , not to mention beta

<SporkWitch>
that's not a word, but if you mean advertisement, they've been very transparent about what we'd be getting. I recommend that in future you stick to 1.0 releases.

ok thanks spork - they still lied about it being beta, its still in dev state

I have to agree about the price though
<Althego>
i bought ksp1 when it was 0.24 for 15 eur. best spending ever
<Althego>
as far as i can see this ksp2 is almost unplayable and expensive
<sandbox>
about the same for me, probably earlier
<SporkWitch>
my thinking on the price is a mix of two things: the overall state of completion (all evidence, further confirmed by dataminers) is that all components on the roadmap are at approximately the same level of completion as what we have in the public build, they're just turned off in that build)
<SporkWitch>
The other is that a higher price point will discourage more casual people form buying in this early, theoretically raising the quality of reports / complaints. Still get plenty of idiots, but you'll get more that choose to wait than at a lower price point.
<packbart>
humm, for it to be "unplayable", the streamers are racking up quite a few hours. ok, much of the time is spent working around bugs :)
<SporkWitch>
Althego: quite playable on supported hardware and settings, and far less buggy than KSP1 was in the early days. There's also no telling how many of the bugs are actually a result of turning things off that are enabled on the internal build.
<packbart>
but they land their Kerbals everywhere, eventually. even on Jool and the sun :)
<SporkWitch>
honestly, creatively working around bugs can be part of the fun of betas
<XXCoder>
gonna watch out for "superfans"
<SporkWitch>
especially the ones that are ship-design triggered.
