GregroxMun: I don't suppose you ever tried SASS
<GregroxMun>
not recently, no.
<Sigma88>
there's this guy that keeps annoying ppl about bugs he has
<Sigma88>
and I think he is using SASS
<Sigma88>
but last time I checked everything worked
<Sigma88>
nevermind
<Sigma88>
he is annoying even devs of mod that are not compatible with SASS
<Sigma88>
when was last time you streamed?
<GregroxMun>
a couple hundred million years ago
<GregroxMun>
MArch 20th
<GregroxMun>
I was streaming SLIPPIST-1
<Sigma88>
yes I just went to look
<Sigma88>
"SLIPPIST-1 f, or Foxtrot."

<GregroxMun>
I need to balance SLIPPIST-1 for career mode.
<GregroxMun>
Next to I stream I should do so in 0.17 and try something you can't do in modern versions:
<GregroxMun>
Visit FireMoho.
<GregroxMun>
I did so already, but I was unable to return
<GregroxMun>
I would try to land on Moho and return.
<GregroxMun>
Moho had a superheated atmosphere.
egg|nomz|egg is now known as egg
<Sigma88>
I never visited moho that early
<GregroxMun>
you never played the game that early
<Sigma88>
I started later but I did go back to earlier versions to see what they were likr
<Sigma88>
Like
<GregroxMun>
So you illegally downloaded them?
<Sigma88>
No :P
<Sigma88>
Unless you count pen drives from friends as "downloading"
<Sigma88>
In which case, maybe
<GregroxMun>
There was this really daft fellow who put up old versions of the game around ~0.21 era right on the forums.
<GregroxMun>
It was removed by the mods within minutes
<GregroxMun>
but that's how I managed to get 0.15.
<GregroxMun>
Every other version I have because I kept them
<GregroxMun>
(or downloaded them legally in the case of 0.13.3 and earlier)
<GregroxMun>
Frankly I don't understand why they don't put up downloads for the alpha and beta versions at least for those who have bought the game.
<GregroxMun>
Man, I miss the alpha versions.
<GregroxMun>
Every update really made the game feel different.
<GregroxMun>
0.18 added an art pass for planets and parts, it added space stations, docking, probes, electricity, and probably some more that I'm forgetting about.
<GregroxMun>
I think most would consider it the update that most changed the feel of the sandbox game into what we have now.
<GregroxMun>
0.17 had added most of the planets (except for Dres, Pol, and Eeloo)
<GregroxMun>
It also added Internal IVA views.
<GregroxMun>
0.16 added big rocket parts and spacewalking.
<GregroxMun>
0.15 added spaceplanes and Minmus.
<GregroxMun>
0.14 added persistence, the single biggest enabler of the sandbox mode. Without persistence, KSP would just be individual missions with no sense of time or progression. To actually see debris left behind from your missions, to visit ships in space and on the surface, and to fly multiple missions at once. It also allowed modding to use plugins inste
<GregroxMun>
ad of just parts.
<GregroxMun>
0.19 was supposed to be the big resource mining update. It would have been glorious. But that was put on the backburner and eventually implemented as the very basic Ore system we have now. Instead we did get re-entry visuals and rovers.
<GregroxMun>
0.20 was important for modders, it introduced GameData. Also chairs and flags. 0.21 redid the space center buildings, a very nice change. It also darkened the lighting from the sun, a less nice change. 0.22 finally brings a major change again, a completely new way to play the game: science mode.
<GregroxMun>
0.23 is basically a large patch for science mode.
<GregroxMun>
0.23.5 added rocks and grabbers and giant size-3 rocket parts. (And is based on a mission that is probably going to be cancelled)
<GregroxMun>
0.24 added yet another way to play. Not quite as big a difference as 0.22's, but still quite nice and big. 0.24's career mode added funds and reputation to the science mode game. 0.25 was as to 0.24 as 0.23 was to 0.22.
<GregroxMun>
0.26 implemented a special +.64 to the version counter, new spaceplane parts. Oh right, I forgot 0.24 might have added new spaceplane parts too. 0.26 also had upgradable buildings.
<GregroxMun>
0.27 updated the game engine, and was also called 1.0 for some reason, and added aerodynamics that made sense and quite a few more small features and replaced a Y chromosome sometimes.
<GregroxMun>
ok I'm done now
<GregroxMun>
that was pointless and partially inaccurate
<Sigma88>
Plus I was driving so now I get a wall of text
