<GregroxMun> ice worlds are reflective enough that they stay frozen even when they get more light than the Earth. So when they finally do get too much heat, their ice melts and boils very quickly. Then, it's runaway greenhouse time and loss-of-water time. Planets that already have greenhouse gasses can survive snowball periods because their ice melts slower.
