<GregroxMun> holy crap I never realized how hot gas giant cores are
<GregroxMun> Jupiter's is apparently roughly 35,000 kelvins

<Thomas> Sigma88: You could just add the option now, until the new Kopernicus isnt released it wont do anything and when it is released it will suddenly start working :D
<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] kayari75 opened issue #213: Kopernicus don't load on KSP 1.3 on Mac OS X https://git.io/v5RpL

<Sigma88> thomas when is ContractWeights created?
<Sigma88> I get null every time I look for it
<Thomas> When you load a savegame
<Sigma88> I'm not seeing it
<Sigma88> do I need to create one?
<Thomas> Sandbox save?
<Sigma88> ah whoops
<Sigma88> lol

<Sigma88> sry
<Sigma88> so, when is the best moment to change the values?
<Sigma88> SpaceCenter.Start() ?
<Thomas> I already have all the code in Kopernicus, just set the value and wait for it. Or at least copy it completely :P
<Sigma88> you have it integrated inside the whole latefixes thing
Rokker has joined #Kopernicus
<Sigma88> meh too complicated to bother
<Sigma88> I'll just add the line and screw those ppl that want to play now
GregroxMun has joined #Kopernicus
Sigma88 is now known as SigmaNomz
<GregroxMun> If I use Kopernicus for the simulated Moon Mission I can make it look like some kind of living alien planet and the crewmembers can go on an EVA in our forested back yard wearing red goggles or something
<GregroxMun> Thin red atmosphere, red plants, red everything!
<GregroxMun> I really am not sure how to handle the EVA
<GregroxMun> I don't want them to just stay in the ship
<GregroxMun> but I don't have any way of simulating a lunar surface
<SigmaNomz> they should do KSP VR
SigmaNomz is now known as Sigma88
<GregroxMun> ABSOLUTELY THEY SHOULD
<GregroxMun> I tried a Vive mod for the KSP when my dad's Vive was working and it was so awesome!
<Sigma88> runs on a PC and sends the video to your smartphone
<GregroxMun> That could work too I guess
<GregroxMun> cheaper than a whole vive
<Sigma88> and you use the google cardboard thing
<Sigma88> or the samsung vr thing
<GregroxMun> You'd need samsung vr
<GregroxMun> bc cardboard has no sensors
<Sigma88> does samsung have sensors?
<Sigma88> you mean for the hands?
<GregroxMun> It has head motion sensors
<Sigma88> you mean 3D movement?
<Sigma88> I assume the cardboard has the 360° sensors
<Sigma88> which are integrated into the phone
<GregroxMun> i dont know
<GregroxMun> maybe im wrong
<GregroxMun> you really need 3d translational movement to take full advantage of the vr
<GregroxMun> it was so cool to be able to move my head forward and look at the controls in detail
<GregroxMun> but I had to use mouse and keyboard for all controls
<Sigma88> problem is it's impossible to distinguish between stationary and moving straight at constant speed
<GregroxMun> an invisible mouse and keyboard
<GregroxMun> it's impossible to distunguish those without sensor stations like more complicated Oculus and Vive systems have
<Sigma88> well, not completely
<Sigma88> you still have gps and wifi
<GregroxMun> gps isn't high detail enough
<GregroxMun> it's like meter scale or half meter scale, not millimeters or centimeters
<Sigma88> yeah
<Sigma88> but you can use a combination of all sensors and get pretty close I reckon
<Sigma88> for example, a wifi antenna should not cost too much
<Sigma88> and 3 should be enough to get a sense of where a person is
<Sigma88> maybe 4
<GregroxMun> at a certain point you're getting close to the cost of an actual vr headset in the near future
<Sigma88> the problem with the current vr systems is the beacons are not very powerful
<Sigma88> so you need a small room
<Sigma88> at least this is what I heard from reviews
<GregroxMun> not really small
<GregroxMun> there's sit down and stand up vr
<GregroxMun> in both cases you can get reasonably larger rooms
<GregroxMun> but you dont need it in sit down vr
<GregroxMun> so sit down is for when you dont HAVE large rooms
<Sigma88> not my words, so I don't know what they mean by "small"
<Sigma88> also, Vive was the only exception to that rule
<Sigma88> and they argued vive is the most expensive for that exact reason
<Sigma88> GregroxMun: do you plan to stream anything ksp in the future?
<GregroxMun> no
<Sigma88> :(
<GregroxMun> but if i do it will be on youtube instead of twitch
<Sigma88> oh
<Sigma88> any reason?
<GregroxMun> my streaming days are over that's all
<Sigma88> oh, so you mean you will make VODs instead of live streams?
<Sigma88> IF you will do anything
<GregroxMun> no i mean if i do any more streaming it will be streamed on youtube as a streaming service
<GregroxMun> livestreams are a thing on youtube
<Sigma88> yes I know
<Sigma88> that was my first assumption
<Sigma88> but then you said your streaming days are over
<GregroxMun> yeah but that wasn't a hard comment
<GregroxMun> i may stream again
<GregroxMun> but I'm no longer "a livestreamer"
<Sigma88> dum-dum-dummmmm
<Sigma88> unrelated question, is sister act going to be a main character in tng?
<GregroxMun> what's sister act
<GregroxMun> wait do you mean Whoopie Goldberg?
<Sigma88> :D
<Sigma88> yes
<GregroxMun> Yeah!
<GregroxMun> I mean no
<GregroxMun> she's recurring
<Sigma88> I always found her annoying
<Sigma88> but I don't know if it's the actress or the character
<GregroxMun> She basically begged the show runners to let her be on the show because star trek (Uhura specifically) made her career
<GregroxMun> I like her character
<Sigma88> I meant her character in sister act
<Sigma88> wait, what does uhura have to do with woopie
<Sigma88> '
<Sigma88> ?
<GregroxMun> uhura was a black actress when black actresses were only ever maids
<GregroxMun> but here she was on the bridge of a star ship as one of the important crew members
<Sigma88> ah ok
<Sigma88> for a moment I was like "wait, was she Uhura as well???"
<Sigma88> I would like to work on a mod
<Sigma88> but I have no ideas that tingle my creativity
<Sigma88> GregroxMun: do you know if there are any set of kscswitcher locations for stock kerbin?
<Sigma88> I am confused
<Sigma88> I thought holodecks could simulate the dresses of people as well
<Sigma88> oh god
<Sigma88> there's a scene with laforge looking at a piece of paper upside down
<Sigma88> I wonder if it's meant as a joke on the fact that he's blind
<Qboid> 3d 0h 0m 0s left to event #8: Intelsat 37e & BSAT 4a/Ariane 5 ECA [at 2017-09-05 21:51:00]. Say '!kountdown 8' for details
<GregroxMun> they can simulate how clothes look, not how they feel
