<Sigma88> GregroxMun: now stars won't rotate in the science archives
<Sigma88> \0/
Sigma88 is now known as SigmaBRB
<Thomas> SigmaBRB: I have no idea why it tracks the wrong star
<Thomas> It should track the star with the highest energy
egg|zzz|egg is now known as egg|tea|egg
<GregroxMun> You can get Captain Proton's Rocketship as an official piece of Star Trek merchandise
<GregroxMun> AFAICT what decides which star the atmosphere shader will point at is whichever star is closest at the start of the game. If the planet moves away from the star it will still prefer to have the atmosphere pointed at it.
<GregroxMun> So I gotta make sure all the planets start out closer to the Sun than the Dwarf Star.
<GregroxMun> i stand corrected
<GregroxMun> this deserves more testing.
<GregroxMun> it matters where it is when you first look at it. If you go to T.S. and its atmo is pointed at the red star, but then you warp until it is closer to the blue star and you go out of T.S. and back, now the atmo is pointed at the blue star.
<GregroxMun> in flight, quicksaves determine this.
<GregroxMun> I could bullcrap the exact angle that the moon is at so it is always further away from the star, but that makes me unhappy.
<SigmaBRB> Thomas could it be that the star in question has a small orbit?

<GregroxMun> Star Trek Discovery is on tonight
<GregroxMun> they just released the title sequence but I'm saving it for when I see the show.
<Sigma88> I will get it on the 25th
<Sigma88> not sure if at midnight or what
<GregroxMun> probably at midnight
<GregroxMun> that's how netflix works usually
<Sigma88> I'm going to watch it tonight then
<GregroxMun> that's actually earlier than we get it if it is midnight
<Sigma88> :D
<GregroxMun> you'll get it at my 6:00 PM
<GregroxMun> I get it at my 8:00 PM
<Sigma88> !wa midnight cest to eastern
<GregroxMun> and we don't get it on Netflix at all
<Qboid> Sigma88: convert 12:00:00 am CEST | 24. September 2017 to Eastern Time (United States): 6:00:00 pm EDT | Saturday, September 23, 2017
<Sigma88> yup
<GregroxMun> I'm watching the two hour pilot on CBS, and probably going through sketchy means to get them from then on.
<Sigma88> hahaha
<Sigma88> did you see the other series?
<Sigma88> the comedy one
<GregroxMun> Orville?
<GregroxMun> yeah
<Sigma88> yup
<GregroxMun> I have mixed feelings about it.
<Sigma88> it was just fine
<Sigma88> it didn't blow my mind or anything
<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] Sigma88 commented on issue #214: honestly, I think we can release kopernicus as it is now, and try to figure out what's going on later... https://git.io/vdT4B

<SigmaNFL> GregroxMun: do you know any good place where to find solar system wallpapers?
<GregroxMun> Hold on
<SigmaNFL> possibly real photos rather than artist stuff
<SigmaNFL> or if it is artist stuff, good enough to look real
<GregroxMun> https://imgur.com/gallery/V0H9b these might have some worthy images
<GregroxMun> I also have...
<GregroxMun> nothing else actually
<GregroxMun> what's it for?
<GregroxMun> just a personal desktop background?
<SigmaNFL> yes
<SigmaNFL> It was years that I had the same default pink flower
<SigmaNFL> got sick of it
<SigmaNFL> now I wrote a miniprogram that copies the images for the windows lock screens
<SigmaNFL> and uses them as wallpapers
<SigmaNFL> but I wanted to add some space stuff
<GregroxMun> my backgrounds can be found in the new zip file in the shared folder
<GregroxMun> soon
<GregroxMun> there's a lot of images in there.
<SigmaNFL> ah do you need me to convert stuff?
<GregroxMun> A few of them are space engine and kerbal screenshots, some are by an artist named Justv23 on deviantart, some are pictures from telescopes and spacecraft, and some are renders and pictures of spacecraft
<GregroxMun> no these are for you
<GregroxMun> and there's some other stuff
<GregroxMun> it started as just images of gas giants, and I decided I was getting a tad bored of just those.
<SigmaNFL> cool
<SigmaNFL> can I take it out the folder?
<GregroxMun> yes
<SigmaNFL> ty
<SigmaNFL> I love this one
<GregroxMun> ohp that's goin in the folder
<SigmaNFL> I'm guessing it's a concept art
<SigmaNFL> but it looks so real
<GregroxMun> it's from the Cassini grand finale video
<SigmaNFL> which video?
egg is now known as egg|zzz|egg
<SigmaNFL> GregroxMun: take a look at the folder
<GregroxMun> It's not bad, but I personally prefer the darker sky.
<SigmaNFL> still no star trek
