<Sigma88> Thomas are you there? :)
<Thomas> Yes
<Thomas> Sigma88: ?
<Sigma88> Sorry had to run
<Sigma88> I'm back now
<Sigma88> :)
<Sigma88> How do I avoid multiple copies of the same plugin to run at the same time?
<Thomas> You dont change assembly name and assembly version
<Thomas> if you do that, both dlls will be identical to the clr
<Thomas> and only the first one that got loaded will run
<Sigma88> Thomas: that doesn't seem to work
<Sigma88> I have 3 plugins from which I only changed a "Debug.Log" line
<Sigma88> and I find all 3 lines in the output
<Thomas> Send me the assemblyinfo.cs and csproj files from them
<Thomas> Try to readd the line with the Guid
<Thomas> in assemblyinfo.cs
<Sigma88> guid?
<Thomas> Hmm, scratch that
<Thomas> Can I see your output log?
<Thomas> (if it doesnt work, just copy the code from MM?)
<Sigma88> hmm
<Sigma88> that's weird
<Sigma88> I get multiple of the same
<Sigma88> I didn't notice that before
<Sigma88> they should read "test 1" / "test 2"
<Sigma88> etc
<Sigma88> but they are all "test 1"
<Thomas> ok, then the clr is weird
<Thomas> It pseudo-loads the assembly, but it really just registers the already loaded one a second time
<Sigma88> so how do I make it work only once?
<Thomas> As I said, borrow the code from MM
<Sigma88> ok
<Thomas> Or make it failsafe, so multiple versions wont have any effect
<Thomas> (i.e. add an if check before adding a texture to the loading screen or something like that)
<Sigma88> I think it might already be failsafe
<Sigma88> since I have a "skip" check in the Update()
<Sigma88> so that the code runs only once
<Sigma88> now I just need to figure out how to run only the newest one
<Sigma88> thomas, is there a way to check the compile date of an assembly?
<Sigma88> so basically, which one is the newest
<Sigma88> or do I need to change assembly version for that?
<Thomas> Add a constant and increase it with each release
<Thomas> That is the safest way
<Thomas> Because everyone could grab an old version of the source and do a simple recompile. Noone would notice it but it would disable the newer versions
<Sigma88> k
<Thomas> Of course they could change the number too.. but that doesnt happen automatically
<Sigma88> I will have to change the assembly number
<Sigma88> hoping that the assembly that gets loaded is the newest one
<Sigma88> nope
<Sigma88> >_>

<GregroxMun> Sean Raymond, the guy behind the Ultimate Solar System design, is going to send me the orbital elements of the systems.
<Sigma88> oh cool
<GregroxMun> Ideally, the system should work with principia
<GregroxMun> I actually sent him the request via reddit over a month ago, and he just responded with, basically, "email me."
<Sigma88> lol
<GregroxMun> Hey
<GregroxMun> here's a joke
<GregroxMun> What's the difference between being confused about planetary formation and being unable to have sex?
<GregroxMun> One's the case of the missing trojans, and the other's the missing case of trojans.
<GregroxMun> technically it should be "safe sex" but I feel it gives the punchline away a tad too quickly.
<Sigma88> here's not a joke
<Sigma88> the italian word for troja is also used as a synonym of prostitude
<GregroxMun> o
<Sigma88> so you could say "what does being confused about planetary formation have in common with being unable to have sex" ?
<Sigma88> :P
<GregroxMun> A simpler joke/condom-advertisement could be: What does safe sex and planetary science have in common?
<GregroxMun> trojans.
<Sigma88> why did jupiter had so many kids? because he could never get to his trojans
<Sigma88> have*
<Sigma88> I think
<GregroxMun> ok so you clearly need a random trojan vessel easter egg which is a phallus
<GregroxMun> so, you know, just a normal rocket i guess
<Sigma88> SASS already has the horse
<GregroxMun> yeah
<GregroxMun> i know
<Sigma88> the rocket could go on the other camp :D
<GregroxMun> afaik there are no greek condoms
<Sigma88> yes but generally speaking trojans can be used for both camps afaik
<GregroxMun> yeah alright
