<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] HebaruSan commented on issue #201: Added per-ring rotation period configuration in latest commit to support rotation speeds other than 0 and parent-matching. https://git.io/v7aga

<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] PhineasFreak commented on issue #201: @HebaruSan Question (may seem off-topic): would it be possible to also take a look at adding a "LAN-locking" feature? Currently, if you have rings with inclinations other than 0 degrees, they get different LAN values each time you launch KSP (meaning that you cannot have nice Uranus rings...) https://git.io/v7aXR

<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] HebaruSan commented on issue #201: @PhineasFreak , how do you add inclination to a ring? Is it the `angle` property? https://git.io/v7axe
<GregroxMun> o/
<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] Poodmund commented on issue #201: Yes, the angle property denotes the inclination of the ring in degrees, 0 being perpendicular to the planets rotational axis. https://git.io/v7Vkt
<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] Sigma88 commented on issue #202: Kopernicus does not do anything... https://git.io/v7VIx

<GregroxMun> why doesn't Neptune have more than one planemo moon.
<GregroxMun> did Triton collide with all of them or send them all into Neptune?
<GregroxMun> Did Neptune just not form any?
<GregroxMun> Triton is a fair bit larger than the dwarf planets in the solar system, after all, and it appears to have recent-ish terrain.
<UmbralRaptor> Triton probably killed them.

<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] HebaruSan commented on issue #201: OK, I think that's relatively easy to do; see below for some thick tiled JoolRings with rotation and inclination. Can anyone please provide a confirmed-broken config that I can test to make sure it's working as desired?... https://git.io/v7VXg
<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] HebaruSan commented on issue #201: On second look, the changes I've made aren't very different from what the old code was doing for lockRotation=true, so they probably don't fix this issue. I'll need good instructions for how to reproduce this issue if you want it fixed. https://git.io/v7VFE

<Kopernicus> [Kopernicus] HebaruSan commented on issue #201: @PhineasFreak , are you sure about the problem with the LAN? I found this post on the forum which seems to suggest that inclined rings have already been done this way, and that the problem isn't that the LAN can change, but that you can't change it in the Kopernicus cfg files. Adding a setting for LAN would be straightforward, if that's what's needed.... https://git.io/v7wUE

<GregroxMun> I just realized I still haven't released Minmus, Jool, and Tylo for ASP. I guess I'll get that done soonish.

<GregroxMun> I really hope the weather will be clear, it's been over a month since I've been to the observatory.
<GregroxMun> on the bright side, I will no longer have to rely on the observatory for real-world socialization: I'm going back to school in a few days
