raptop changed the topic of #principia to: READ THE FAQ: http://goo.gl/gMZF9H; The current version is Galileo. We currently target 1.5.1, 1.6.1, 1.7.x, 1.8.1, and 1.9.1. <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly… | <egg> also 4e16 m * 2^-52 is uncomfortably large

moar ssto. — I used 70+ years to get an ssto just to titan, lol.

moar ssto. — And spending the first 30 years in the inner solar system just to get a proper venus assist.

moar ssto. — I did that to pick up enough earth C3 via multiple lunar assists, then I moved the craft to a earth assist with correct phase angle wich will allow the craft to intersect venus where the venusian orbit intersects the ecliptic.

smartdummies. — Hmmm.... my persistent.sfs has a few hendred MB of principia data in it for in serialized_plugin data. What happens if I delete this?
<discord-_>
Stonesmile. — You might want to read the comments on issue #2400 on github
<discord-_>
lpg. — You delete that, you likely destroy your solar system. the bulk of that data is vessel history; deleting old individual vessels is the way to shrink it back down
<discord-_>
smartdummies. — I am deleting my vessels, but i am manually editing my .sfs file as it will not load in KSP so that is not removing data from principia. My save file is absurd
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — when timewarping at the two highest settings my framerate drops to 1, I think I heard princicpia causes this
<discord-_>
Stonesmile. — Yes, this is expected since Principia integrates the trajectories of every vessel, if you remove old vessels it speeds up somewhat
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Is it possible to uninstall principia and install it later in the career?
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — It makes unguided upper stages litteraly impossible
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Ive spent litteral hours and dozens of quicksaves getting twk rockets into ornit, without success
<discord-_>
Kirk. — No
<discord-_>
Damien. — You can but the celestials may not be precisely where they should be
<discord-_>
Kirk. — I though uninstalling it was ok, and installing it on a save in progress is ok
<discord-_>
Kirk. — But uninstalling it and then reinstalling it on a save later was bad
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Alright
<discord-_>
Damien. — Not sure tbh
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Ill just fly, and if no wngines fail ill f12 complete contraxts foe now
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — But soes this mean that solid kickstages are also impossible?
<discord-_>
lpg. — unguided upper stages aren't impossible, so no
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — So how am I supposed to fix this wobble issue?
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — If i separate from a perfectly still spinning vehicle, i will somehow veer or course and wobble extremely without external influences
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Could be caused by how principia models precession, but its extremely frustrating
<discord-_>
lpg. — Doesn't sound like anything I've experienced, even during the fubini days. could be a design error, could be a new bug
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Ill try and test some more, see for what conditions it does this
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — But basically I have a guided stage first, which in the last 10/20 seconds points at the right directiom and spins up
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Then it separates the spacebee which is then supposed to coast to apoapsis
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — But after separating (well out of atmo) it starts osscilating wildly and more and more
<discord-_>
Builderbast. — Next time ill try and see what happens if I dont spin it up
<discord-_>
itsRyan. — You can disable Principia temporarily for a launch by going into the cheat menu and enable hack gravity. That could also debug if it's a Principia issue. Make sure to unhack gravity before you go to any ships you want to keep flying Principia trajectories.
