<LunchBot>
You launch a mission to recover the crew of the mission to recover the crew of the mission to recover the crew of your first Eve lander. You succeed on mission! unfortunately it was NEXT mission that was launched. Mission you was supposed to start is now late.

You look for ways to spice up tedious rescue missions. You have inspired Danny2462 to do terrible things.

You tape down the trigger of your handgun, deciding to just use the safety to fire it. Your confusion of impact factor with impact parameter results in the destruction of several Elsevier and Springer offices.

worst outcome

the previous
<ThatOneGuy>
Whys that?
<Althego>
think of it. if you can inspire danny, that must have been some truly horrible event

Mwahhhhahahaha

... i don't know if something changed in the game or a mod, or what happened, but somehow my rover is actually usable on minmus... rovers are never usable on minmus...
<packbart>
it depends a bit on the build and the terrain
<SporkWitch>
i'm on a 10° slope lol
<SporkWitch>
the sun just dipped behind a mountain or i'd take a picture of the rover
<SporkWitch>
flipped it by accident and broke my solar panels, reloaded, and now it slides like normal. oh well, lol
<SporkWitch>
cranked wheel friction up, that helped
<SporkWitch>
wish the auto actually worked, so annoyng to tweak lol

If it's as in nuclear salt-water rockets I think the tingly sensation would be of becoming extraordinarily dead

I tried setting up traction control as a kOS script but it kept saying that I didn't have action groups unlocked :<

Wanted FWD rovers, except when I'm backing up; they're far too inclined to go over the handlebars so to speak on the Mun

MechJeb's rover stability control tries to align the rovers control point attitude parallel to the surface. It doesn't help much with sliding around on Minmus, though
<SporkWitch>
packs 6 comm relays, a low-res survey sat and high res survey sat (scansat), and a science probe (only reusable experiments), with enough ΔV that i should be able to get to duna, and switch between equatorial and polar orbits to deploy the sats, before coming into low orbit for the main probe
<SporkWitch>
those are the 3.8m parts lol
<SporkWitch>
it's quite large, and very long lol
<SporkWitch>
the SRBs are clydesdales, the second stage are mastodons
<SporkWitch>
then the transfer and orbital maneuvering stage is a timberwind NTR
<SporkWitch>
i wonder if all those probes having decent built-in reaction wheels is part of why it's actually flying really stable...
<SporkWitch>
nm, in space now and coasting and it turns super slow. guess i did build it decently lol

<SporkWitch>
sweet, that rocket was so overengineered i actually have enough leftover fuel in the mastodons for the transfer burn, and probably some of the braking, so i'll have WAY more than enough fuel for switching orbits around to get these satellites deployed ^^
<packbart>
well, there are always some nice 7m parts to scale up to
<packbart>
85t RocketParts payload to JNSQ-Minmus. Launch mass 2878t. And the lander ran out of fuel a few m above the surface (it did bounce a few time but SAS kept it upright)

<SporkWitch>
lol, what was left in the lift stage wasn't enough for capture, and i just got "escape from duna" credit from it leaving after the main craft successfully entered orbit lol
