<raptop>
okay, that's a silly programming language
<Mat2ch>
"and modifiers such as "PLEASE". This last keyword provides two reasons for the program's rejection by the compiler: if "PLEASE" does not appear often enough, the program is considered insufficiently polite, and the error message says this"
<Mat2ch>
lol
<Althego>
yes i want to add an outcome of tha launch failing because of your incorrect level of politeness
<Althego>
but couldnt formulate it in a sentence that felt ok
<Althego>
also it has a COME FROM
<Althego>
the whole language exists because of the funny manual
<Mat2ch>
"Your launch fails because of your incorrect level of politeness" would work fine.
<Althego>
doesnt look good
<Althego>
but it will have to do
<Althego>

*insufficient
<Mat2ch>
looks better with insufficient I'd say
<Althego>
but also can fail if you are too polite and i didnt want to add two outcomes
<Mat2ch>
Some nativ English speaker could clear this up
<Mat2ch>
but they are... uhm, at lunch?
<Mat2ch>
except for the Brits. They are in bed or so :P
<Althego>

<Mat2ch>
hm, dinner then.
<raptop>

You gesture at the sun's hilariously low power density, and are inspired to develop a novel quantum-enhanced fusion approach. There seems to have been a miscommunication when they implemented "snake" on the guidance computer of your spaceplane.

<Mat2ch>
you want to play with your snake. Got it.

uh, sure, let's go with that

You deploy the parachutes at stage 0. Jeb somehow managed to get a 1:1 replica of the Hindenburg and crashes it into the Kerbal Burn Treatment Center.
<raptop>
Ah, the bot is leaving out the part where the parachutes catch on fire, and cause moderate burns on Bill and/or Bob
<raptop>
*causes
<Eddi|zuHause>
could be worse, could be val...
<Eddi|zuHause>
afair the hindenburg disaster actually had somewhat of a fair survival chance
<Eddi|zuHause>
"36 dead, 62 survivors"
<Eddi|zuHause>
one of the dead was ground crew
<Eddi|zuHause>
weird... it had 61 crew members but only 36 passengers on board

<Mat2ch>
With (those are my approximiated numbers) two pilots, one navigator, one radio operator, two technicians leaves 14 crew that could take care of the guests
<Mat2ch>
which is still a lot.

the article i read said it was somewhat overstaffed
<Mat2ch>
Yeah, if you add a chef, a kitchen helper, two waiters and two cleaning person... there are still 8 people per shift that do what?
<Eddi|zuHause>
you don't need a chef 24h...

<Mat2ch>
That was more of a first class flight, so you had to have a chef around all the time
<Mat2ch>
and there were only 54 beds for the crew. So I think they never flew with 61 on longer trips
<Eddi|zuHause>
what's a longer trip than a transatlantic flight?
<Mat2ch>
hm, right. So they had to have bed sharing then
<Eddi|zuHause>
also, on a 3-shift system there are never all beds in use at the same time, so you can easily have shared beds for the lower crew members
<Mat2ch>
and the whole catastophe was possible, because the US wouldn't deliver Helium to the Nazis. (I would've done the same...)

but was that because they were nazis, or just because they wouldn't sell to generally anyone

Eddi|zuHause: they feared the Nazis could start a war and didn't want to supply them with materials that could be used to make weapons.
<Mat2ch>
And history tells us that this assessment was correct.
