⟨Sir Mortimer⟩ I hope they’ll do anything about it, but don’t get my hopes up. This being the last version and such

⟨Benji⟩ Is Trajectories - atmospheric predictions(mod) doing something principia is doing by now?
<queqiao->
⟨Stonesmile⟩ Principia does not take atmosphere into account when plotting predictions
<queqiao->
⟨Damien⟩ literally unplayable

⟨davjet1⟩ How can I plan interplanetary transfers without melting my PC? Is there something im doing dumb with the steps, tolerance, plan length thats destroying my relatively high spec pc?
<queqiao-_>
⟨Damien⟩ For interplanetary you can have high tolerance
<queqiao-_>
⟨Damien⟩ 1 km error over the distance between earth and Mars is nothing. For orbital rendezvous you'll want low tolerance because every cm counts
<queqiao-_>
⟨davjet1⟩ ah thanks that makes sense

⟨Zeusbeer⟩ Obviously not for gravity assists, those do benefit from higher accuracy
<queqiao-_>
⟨Damien⟩ Yeah but still in the km range rather than the cm range
<queqiao-_>
⟨Zeusbeer⟩ No I generally use 1 meter range for that
<queqiao-_>
⟨Zeusbeer⟩ I enjoy hearing my pc burn slowly

⟨egg⟩ OK, update after investigation, it turns out that the game hangs (not crashes) if there are DLLs without version numbers, it’s not about being native; which means we have a workaround, and I guess it is part of a feature documented in the changelog (albeit a badly implemented one with a dreadful failure mode). CC @Sir Mortimer
<queqiao-_>
⟨NathanKell (he/him)⟩ Worth reporting nonetheless, but yeah, that makes sense
<queqiao-_>
⟨sichelgaita⟩ *File* version numbers.
<queqiao-_>
⟨Benji⟩ Interesting.
