i think part of why the shuttle failed at reusability was that every reentry caused a complete refurbishing of the outer shell, wheras a first stage booster doesn't need any of that
<XXCoder>
tiles expensive and brittle
<Eddi|zuHause>
reusing a second stage might run into that same problem

uncooked seafood isn't all that dangerous. not many diseases or parasites can jump species like that
<XXCoder>
true lol
<XXCoder>
man I want reserant sushi
<Eddi|zuHause>
this overlap in diseases is why pig meat is more dangerous than cow meat.
<XXCoder>
yep
<XXCoder>
I remember seeing post about "red pork"
<XXCoder>
dangerous af
<Eddi|zuHause>
with cow meat, the contaminants will only be on the outside, which is why it's safe to eat a steak rare. but with pig meat, it must be well done.

<Eddi|zuHause>
what is really the definition of a "rocket"?
<darsie>
A rocket (from Italian: rocchetto, lit. 'bobbin/spool')[nb 1][1] is a vehicle that uses jet propulsion to accelerate without using the surrounding air.
<Eddi|zuHause>
it has a pointy end, and a firey end, and doesn't rely on air for firing?
<darsie>
Squids are rockets without fire.
<darsie>
Or latex balloons
<darsie>
There might be some pushing off air, idk.
<darsie>
or water
<Eddi|zuHause>
well, that may depend on your definition of "fire"
