<Althego>
because short message service, so you use the service not send it
<Mat2ch>
(sorry, I just hate it when people say it that way and make it too easy. "Look on my facebook". It's called "facebook page", you don't have your own facebook!)
<Deddly>
You have to look for their twits
<Deddly>
Mat2ch, my internet isn't working!
<Mat2ch>
Deddly: "twits" is very close to chat rule infringement ;P
<Mat2ch>
Deddly: and don't push it! :D
<Althego>
hehe you just need to change one chat
<Althego>
char
<Deddly>
Twit is a legitimate English word
<Althego>
and the japanese long tailed tit is a cute bird :)

<Judge_Dedd>
Yes, people have been doing that for ages
<Judge_Dedd>
"Send me money, and I'll send you more back!"
<Althego>
and it works
<Althego>
i remember long time ago some scammers were doing that in eve too
<Judge_Dedd>
I got so fed up with spam I deleted my Twitter account
<Althego>
while mark hamill deleted his facevook account and kept his twitter
<Judge_Dedd>
That was for a different reason and I'd love to comment on it but I think that starts getting out of bounds here
<Althego>
meanwhile i never had facebook or twitter account
<Judge_Dedd>
I never had Facebook and I only got Twitter because Elon must was saying interesting things that I couldn't read without having an account
<Althego>
i knew that the orange tank in the game was from the shuttle
<Judge_Dedd>
Or, KSP could have used that image as reference for the art style
<Althego>
bu i thought that plate waas just made up
<Judge_Dedd>
Most, if not all, of KSP parts have a real-life counterpart, but that's the first time I've seen that one
<Althego>
that image must be recent since it is about the sls, but i guess the part was around for a while before that
<Althego>
similar surprise was that the surface scanner that opens the radar antenna on the two sides was from the venera probes
<Althego>
at least from some
<Althego>
i thought about that as an other game only part
<Althego>
the small hexagonal was obviouslt from curiosity
<UmbralRaptop>
RT-5 and 10 aren't based on anything, right?
<UmbralRaptop>
hrm. tricoupler also?
<Judge_Dedd>
I think that the tricoupler and RT-10 are leftover parts from the really early days where Harvester was just making most of the parts up to look like bits of scrap
<UmbralRaptop>
yeah
<Judge_Dedd>
So I expect the earliest parts are where we are most likely to find no real-life analogue
<Judge_Dedd>
Back in the good old days when the game was going to be limited to sounding rockets and Harvester liked it how joints were wobbly :D
<Althego>
hehe

Althego: looks like NASA discovered TweakScale and just resized the 2.5m Rockomax adapter
<Althego>
hehehe
<Mostly_Deddly>
Althego, I think a slight wobbliness is probably realistic, but flying rockets with a keyboard isn't very realistic, either, and as long as SAS is as limited as it is, I think wobbliness just makes the game unnecessarily difficult sometimes
<raptop>
You'd think that with tweakscale, someone would have just made a seadragon already
<raptop>
(IRL. I'm sure it exists in KSP)
<raptop>
Mostly_Deddly: I'm still vaguely bitter that stock doesn't have user tunable PIDs
<Mostly_Deddly>
Oh right, real life. I was about to post a bunch of links
<Mostly_Deddly>
But if you're adding Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, why not other diseases as well? ;)
* raptop
slaps Mostly_Deddly around with a mechanical jeb
<Mostly_Deddly>
Hehe
<Althego>
hehe
<Mostly_Deddly>
Wow that sends me way back. I used to go to an IRC channel back in the '90s where a bot would slap you around with a kipper
<Althego>
i am kind of partial to state space control
* raptop
manually types the objects for trout-slap style things >_>;;
<Althego>
maybe state feedback or sliding mode
<raptop>
hm
<raptop>
!choose have Val do a low munar flyby|probe to Minmus|wait for Jeb to return|design a heavier launcher
<raptop>
oh, right. That bot's in another channel
<Althego>
the princess is in another castle
<raptop>
Right, I'll alert Bowser that this one is a trap
<Mostly_Deddly>
raptop, according to decisionbot, no to Low munar flyby, DO send a probe to Minmus, not wait for Jeb to return, and design a heavier launcher, while you still can.
<raptop>
heh
<Mostly_Deddly>
Oh wait, it has multiple choices, I didn't need to do them one by one
<Mostly_Deddly>
raptop, "Wait for Jeb to return by a nose."
