<nate> Cause there's still usually differences between TV broadcasts and Consoles/PC's, the former they'll often default to 30Hz, the latter mode will enable 60Hz w/ standard PC/Console feature support over stuff like HDMI
<nate> at least as far as US/NTSC goes

<darsie> If you're on the surface, you have some speed in the non rotating frame of reference.
